OH! Cairo Pharaoh Hostel — Hotel in Cairo

Based on Booking’s rates, I booked a few nights in this hostel. Even though the rest of the hostel seems clean and the staff is friendly, I ended up in a very dirty room (the sheets were not clean, the trash was full, smell of cigarettes, a lot of insects smashed on the wall among others…) with no window. Not the pictures I saw when booking. I ended up cancelling a part of my stay to join my friends in another hostel that was much cleaner. The « landlord » asked for 50$ -which was a lot, while Booking confirmed later to pay 25$. When I asked half the money back, I got no answers. Im sorry for this bad review but my experience with this hostel...

I made a reservation, but when I arrived at the hotel after 10 PM, I was told there were no rooms available, and there was no prior notice.

Although the front desk staff did his best to help by taking us to other hotels that might have rooms, we ultimately found a place to stay on our own.
