The Bay Hotel Hurghada Marina. I stayed there with my husband and our friends on Eid vacation (April 2023). The hotel is nice, I loved the decor, it's very simple but elegant, very calming colors and the rooms/apartments are nice and with the same calming decor, its 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a living/dining area and a small kitchen. The staff were helpful (except for one person, but I will talk about the pros first, we will get back to this later).
Pros: the hotel is located in the Marina, the living room and the main bedroom have very nice sea view, and I heard the upper floors are even better. We were on the 3rd floor and we did see the marina and sea view and it was refreshing. You also have access to the hotel beach, with pool and Jacuzzi, and also a restaurant on the beach (accessing the beach is included in your payment, but you pay for drinks or food at the beach). We didn't try the food in the hotel nor the drinks, so I have nothing to say about them. Also the hotel is so near to the downtown with so many good places to eat and drink and shop, as well as having a supermarket very nearby, and a pharmacy.
Wifi was okay, I had to get some work done and it didn't fail me. The room service is very very nice and helpful, especially Mr. Abdo. We didn't have some stuff in the kitchen and we asked him to get them for us, and he was always nice and smiling. Also special thanks to Mr. KHALED SULTAN (I think he is the GM), he solved a problem for us on the first day and he was a HUGE help, very calm and nice and helpful, so big, big thanks. Another special thanks to Mr. Ahmed in the front desk night shift, he was super nice and calm and helpful. Also big thanks to Mr. Bishoy in the morning shift, he was nice and helpful.
We also did a couple of trips with the travel agency in the hotel (RED SEA ADVENTURE), we did the Orange Bay trip and another Safari trip and both were AMAZING. HUGE HUGE thanks to Ms. Bodor, she helped us so much on the first day and handled all of our trip booking. She was such a lovely person and so helpful and nice. Not to forget Mr. MAGDY, a huge huge thanks to him, he also helped us so much and it was my second time to meet him since I did the orange bay trip with him a month back.
Cons: When we were checking in, the reception manager (not sure about the title) was SO rude to us, he almost ruined our vacation and he did ruin a huge chunk of our day, he was not helpful at all, was talking in a very aggressive way and if it wasn't for the help of Mr. Khaled, Ms. Bodor, and Mr. Magdy, we were probably going to leave the hotel or call the cops for this guy. I don't even know how such a rude person works in such a position with so many customers. I don’t want to talk much about him but seriously, I really hope next time I won’t find him, such a nice and lovely place deserves much better people. Not to mention he never smiles and he doesnt help at all, and when we asked for his manager to help solve the problem he took it personally and seriously, just plain rude.
All in all, we didn't let one person ruin our vacation, and we will go again insh’allah, the hotel and the properties...
Read moreIf you’re mesmerized by the view from the balcony and decide to stay at this hotel, prepare yourself for an incredibly unpleasant experience. This is by far the most unhygienic hotel I’ve encountered in my travels across over 20 countries, coupled with the worst soundproofing imaginable.
Located right by the entrance to the marina area, the noise continued until 4 a.m., and it was impossible to sleep. To make matters worse, the hotel is situated next to a mosque, so the prayer announcements begin around 4 :30 a.m., further disrupting any chance of rest. I stayed here for four days and did not get a good night’s sleep even once.
The hygiene of the hotel was appalling. The toilets emitted a terrible odor, the shower drain was clogged, and the toilet flush leaked. The air conditioner was filthy and appeared to have never been cleaned. The room card had to be reactivated every day, which was highly inconvenient. There was no hairdryer in the room—you had to request one, and it could only be used for a few hours at a time. The bath towels provided daily were stained and unsuitable for use.
The bottled water offered as a complimentary item was suspicious. The caps were so loose that I suspect the bottles were refilled rather than sealed.
The hotel’s beach, located 500 meters away, had strict rules prohibiting guests from bringing their own food or drinks. Additionally, there was a 12% service charge on top of a 14% tax, and the beach facilities were outdated.
Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel...
Read moreI stayed at The Bay Hotel Hurghada Marina for 4 nights, with my family and my overall impression was quite disappointing. The rooms were a far cry from what was advertised on the website – highly misleading. The promised picturesque view also turned out to be quite underwhelming compared to the pictures. We voiced our concerns to the front desk and were moved twice, but unfortunately, the replacements weren't much better. The air conditioners were non-functional, and some elements in the room seemed to be falling apart. To make matters worse, the floor was left dirty and unmopped.
The dining experience was equally subpar. As Egyptians, we have a good sense of how our cuisine should be prepared and served, and the food offered fell well below our expectations. To make matters worse, the staff at the dining area seemed to expect tips every time we interacted with them and were persistently pushy about it.
One of the biggest disappointments was the resort's layout. Contrary to our expectations, it wasn't a quick stroll from our room to the pool or beach. In reality, it required a 10 to 15-minute walk to the other side or, alternatively, requesting a ride from the front desk. This significant inconvenience was not something we had anticipated, and had we known, we might have chosen a different place to stay.
In all honesty, I cannot recommend The Bay Hotel Hurghada Marina to anyone looking to enjoy their vacation. The disparity between the website's portrayal and the actual experience, coupled with issues with the rooms, food, and resort layout, made our stay far...
