From the Hurghada airport to the hotel we took a taxi that should take around 15 mins and this was a real nightmare, a driver that wanted to take all the money he could from us, and the car had motor problems on the road. When we finally arrived at the hotel we entered as quickly as possible and we asked some support from the reception about the taxi driver behaviour. Unfortunately the reception was not helpful at all and we could see they knew what's going on but they simply don't protect their customers, also we only had euros with us and when I asked if he could change it to Egyptian pounds or do a cash advance to our room the reception refused. The only solution we had was to go to the nearest atm that is next to the hotel and we had the taxi driver behind us asking to get in the taxi again, horrible, this was quite scary and I suggest everyone to take a uber from the airport and run away from this possible scenario. Internet at the hotel basically doesn't exist, it's so so bad that you can't use it. We were expecting this so we totally recommend anyone to buy a Sim card in Egypt, the best providers are Vodafone and Orange. The first day when we arrived at our room we found it dirty, one dead insect in the shower. We had problems with the safe that was solved once for good but be informed that the telephone in the room its only for decoration, I asked the reception and they told me that. There is some part of the hotel that is still under construction but honestly this was not a problem for us but I think it would be good to finish the work in the near future. Our room was OK with balcony and a there is a fridge. The TV had 15 channels but not all of them working. We didn't care about it. Don't expect any amenities. We had a very bad quality shower gel inside the shower but I suggest not to use it due to the bad quality of it. Go to any shop close by and buy one. For us one of the worst things at this hotel is the organisation but you will find it more seriously at the restaurant. Please be prepared to run to get a clean table, or to get food. Not sure if the corona situation made it more complicated or not but I can't imagine how it will be when the hotel will be fully booked. It was a nightmare to get food, or simply to ask for a drink served in plastic cups. I almost forgot what is to drink from a normal glass during this 2 weeks. Some people they don't respect the line to get food but also the hotel they don't do nothing to implement any change about it. If I would go in details about it I would need to write a book. The food was repeated several times during the 2 weeks and there were no different food themes. The food was always cold when we arrived at the table also because you will need to run behind the waiters to find cutlery. When I say run please believe its the true meaning of the word.It was a relief when I could finally sit at the table. Here at the restaurant you will also find amazing people doing what they can to help you feel good during your lunch or dinner but they can't do miracles when there is not enough people working. Please, to the hotel manager and also the manager on duty try to provide to your workers some better quality of work this will also improve the service. Several times we found 1 waiter working equivalent to 3 persons this is not normal or acceptable. I would like to send a special thanks here to Mr Fares who work at the restaurant as a waiter and did an amazing job all the time doing his best to make us feel good. He is very talented in his work and has proper training and competence. Saying thanks is not enough comparing to the work he does there. Also attention with the food, because we had some issues with our belly and unfortunately other people at the hotel had the same problem.
