Amazing location! Being situated at Al Asalah neighbourhood of Dahab, the motel is very calm. You'll never hear any noises at any given time of the day.
All rooms have a decent view on the sea. Not that it really matters as most likely you'll only use the room to sleep and store your luggage.
Rooms are generally clean and tidy. There's a mini fridge, more outlets than you will need, good lighting, ample closet space and a basic bathroom. If you book the direct sea-view room, it'll also have a separate living and sleeping areas. The rooftop room will givr you access to unlimited views and a huge outdoor area where you can host friends or just chill.
The room that I booked had some issues that some may find minor, but to me it was quite crucial. To begin with, the first thing I did was open the curtains and windows which were in horrible condition. The curtains were dirty, greasy and one side of the windows had a damaged handle and didn't open at all. The windows themselves had water/mud residue both on the inside and outside and there was a squished fly just stuck there. Moreover, the bathroom had three major issues. Firstly, the water heater seems to have rusted on the inside and keeps gushing out brown water when we ran the hot water tap. Also, the safety valve seems to also be damaged as we had hot water coming from the cold water outlet. Lastly, the shower head was rusted and broken. It was spraying water everywhere in the bathroom and thus lacked the adequate pressure needed to have a proper shower.
Overall, it's an okay place. The daily charge they're asking for is a bit high. I expected a better bathroom status given the daily price. Whether I'll be staying there or not again will depend if these issues have been...

Read moreI was booked by a friend to this hotel for 8 nights, I stayed 10. I then rebooked for another 12 nights a month later. I am an ex Hotel General manager so very picky! Saad the owner is a wonderful kind man. His staff are young but very helpful and respectful. They do not have a restaurant or serve breakfast but use a restaurant one minutes walk away on the beach called El Garden. Next to this is another restaurant called Happy Hour run by an amazing Italian lady. I ate there many times. Their pizzas are amazing and made with love and respect. Insha’Allah I will return to Egypt this summer and definitely to Dahab and the Diamond Hotel. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Simple, clean, well maintained and...
