We stayed at the Dahab Hotel for three nights, looking for a decent place to stay after our days at the Blue Lagoon.
We paid 2,500 for the night, and it wasn't worth it at all. The hotel has non-existent maintenance.
We had to ask to change the bed sheets because they looked like they were the previous guests', dirty, stained, and hairy sheets.
The same thing happened in the shower: hair everywhere, which we had to flush down the drain ourselves.
We were told breakfast was included, but the breakfast itself was ridiculous. You can't choose anything; they serve you an "Egyptian breakfast" consisting of lentil pasta, three tiny pieces of feta cheese, two falafels so salty they were inedible, and some dry pita bread.
Seeing this, we asked if they could at least give us a fried or scrambled egg, and were told no.
They don't offer drinks for breakfast.
Finally, on the last day we had to exchange money, and the exchange office was closed in the morning. We asked if they could exchange €50 for us to pay for a taxi to Sharm el Sheik airport. They said yes, and that the exchange rate that day was €1 = 54 Egyptian pounds. We told them that every time we had exchanged money, they had given us €1 = 57/58 pounds. They told us the exchange rate was different every day, and now it was like this.
When we went to the exchange office in the afternoon... surprise... the exchange rate that day was €1 = 58 pounds. It doesn't make much of a difference; it's more a matter of trying to deceive customers.
The only positive thing: the air conditioning worked well every day and it's in a good location...
Read moreOkay, let me nail down some facts about this hotel. Fortunately, it's located in a very good place. Close to the light house, but in very quiet area inside the walkway. Secondly, it's not like other camps of dahab. But it's doesn't provide any hotel services either. We didn't have any room service or housekeeping. In addition to poor water's arrival to rooms. However, as a matter of fact, it has the best sea view ever in the walkway, beside a great cafe in front of the hotel, where you can enjoy your night very close to the sea.
I have booked a double sea view room, and it was in the first line of the hotel. I didn't use the pool, so i don't know if it's fair or not. I had paid 2400 for 3 nights, through certain tour agencies. However, if you don't have any reservations, you will pay the same fees for only one single night there!
Finally, you should know that you’ll need to walk around 10 to 15 minutes every day if you want to reach the center of the walkway. It’s a bit far from the crowded areas, markets, and restaurants. The breakfast was fair enough as the most of dahab hotels.
I need to thank all the receptionists there. They were incredibly amazing and helpful. They always welcome the clients and answer all questions that we need to ask. so thanks.

Read moreHorrible experiences, one of the worst hotels in the world where I stayed, our mistake not having read the negative reviews that are all true. Breakfast very poor, also long in preparing two things, drinks not included, old and dirty room, which needs maintenance, the structure externally seems cared for, but internally needs maintenance. Incompetence and unprofessionalism of the reception. Not done cleaning in the rooms, very high price for the value of the place that has the only strength in the location facing the sea. Cold and dirty pool with cigarette butts floating. Bathroom with broken toilet, rusted bathroom accessories that you are afraid of getting some disease. Highly discouraged. In Dahab you could find better hotel in front of the sea and better price. With this location they could manage in a better way...
