The extremely rude servers unfortunately overshadowed the food (the pizza is very good), There was one younger server who was very friendly and apologetic for his colleagues, but some of the others (including the manager??!) were impressively unpleasant :(
In one instance, we ordered a pizza and the manager came back to tell us the kitchen was closed. We said that was okay, it was our first night in Dahab and we had arrived super late so it was understandable for places to be closing. After saying it was okay, the manager proceeded to get very defensive and almost shouted at my partner. The whole experience was very weird as we never complained and just accepted the fact that the kitchen was closed.
We decided to give it another go as we heard the pizza was very good. I went up to the bar and asked a staff member is I could order some food, his response was literally ânoâ as he rolled his eyes (it was 13:30 so the kitchen was open for lunch), and then he proceeded to pick up his phone and just stand there on it. At that point his younger colleague came to the bar and was very friendly and took my order.
Overall a very weird experience and itâs unfortunately difficult to not let the rude staff overshadow the quality of the food.
PSA: This is the first âbadâ review Iâve left on Google as I have worked in the service industry for years and like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt as everyone has bad days, but the fact that we were met with horrible service on 2 occasions has led to me leaving...
Read moreWe were having lunch 2 days ago, and there was a fishy smell that no one knew where it was coming from. However, some time has passed and we found a âManta Reyâ fish dead one the shore. The staff didnât know what it was, but my friend and I kept helping them and informing them that the fishâs tail was poisonous and that they canât lift it as itâs going to be dangerous. And we kept telling them to call the environment as they would know what to do and how to handle such situation.
A few minutes passed by and a woman, who was apparently the chef there, came out of the kitchen with her staff while wearing their aprons and they kept trying to lift the fish to throw it away in the garbage. My friend and I continued on trying to help them but the woman was extremely rude. She was ignorant of the fish and what harm it could do, and she kept rejecting the help we offered them.
We called the waiter to tell him that it was very unhygienic of them to be doing such thing with the aprons, but they did nothing.
If they did this outside of the kitchen, imagine what else they do inside the kitchen! Shame on such restaurant for hiring a chef who knows nothing neither about hygiene nor about fish.

Read moreI had the pleasure of staying here for four nights and it felt like being at home thanks to the warm hospitality of the staff and the owner (and Eldo the cat) and the positive vibe of the place. The room was comfortable and clean. A sandy beach with deck chairs was literally right outside, where you could witness an amazing sunrise over the Red Sea. The lodge rooms surround the lovely restaurant area, which means the rooms are not quiet (though the music playlist is excellent), but this also means being able to eat some of the best Italian food Iâve ever had, including in Italyâthe current owner of Eldorado is Italian from Puglia and is an excellent chef who obviously trained his attentive team well. Every day I was greeted with smiles and I was also delighted to find some vegan items on the food and drink menus. The location is perfect, walking distance from the Lighthouse area but in a quieter neighbourhood, and the setting gorgeous. Airport pick up and local tours can be arranged, just ask. Thank you to the whole Eldorado team for a really pleasant stay and I hope to...
