We booked the room for 2 adults and 2 kids, paid online everything before our stay, no problems. The hotel is in the center and only a short walking distance from the slopes. The arrival in the evening was a great experience. You will see the slopes in the evening light behind the hotel. It was clear that the hotel's location was excellent and the place easy to find.
The check in was fast and next to the restaurant (breakfast) in the main building. The same lobby has a charming fireplace. There is also an elevator to take you to the ski gear storage if you don't want to use the stairs. That storage was a huge bonus. We worried beforehand how to manage with all the ski gear and equipment when staying in a hotel instead of a cabin, but the storage room worked nicely.
However, if you booked your room from Kide like we did, you will have to go outdoors to find that building or go through the parking lot (walking inside). Kide is not the main building. This means extra effort. Not too hard, but not the easiest way either.
Our hotel room was quite spacious, own sauna included. Towels are big enough and two bathrobes a nice surprise. The interior design of the room is a bit above a good standard hotel in Finland.
The large balcony made it easy to get fresh air. However, it would have been nice to set the room temperature / air conditioning after the sauna..If there was an option for adjustments, we did not find it.
I recommend this hotel. Some rather small and easy improvements would make it a four star accommodation.
We had to ask for the towels for one of us and the sofa was not ready as a bed. It would be a nice gesture from the hotel to make the extra bed ready instead we did it on our own.
The cleaning was not as good as one could expect from three persons rushing through the room. A dusty shelf on the toilet was a signal.
Only once we said that there was no need to clean the room as it seemed unnecessary. That might have been our mistake. Later that week noticed that nobody cleaned the tables (we stayed almost one week) or the sinks. The management can easily improve this by discussing with the team.
Our room was on the 4th floor, yet the sound from the pub downstairs caused some disturbing noise after 11 PM. A small disappointment, but luckily we were so tired that it did not matter.
In overall, a good stay with good breakfast. Would i go again?...
Read moreBlessed to find this treasure in this beautiful snow village . Having had an unfortunate nightmare introduction to Levi on our very first arrival at hazardous , filthy accommodations , we decided to hunt for a better accommodation. A friendly Finnish cashier in a supermarket suggested 2 options stating " we have no 5 star hotels in Levi but but Hotel Break Soki Levi is one of our best " I phoned Break Soki Levi reception from our horrid , dank , dingy 'not at all as described' hovel accommodation and a kind receptionist named Alex answered . He was so courteous , kind and helpful and sent a taxi to literally rescue us . I had flown from British Columbia , Canada , one lady from Perth , Austraila and one lovely lady ( the instigator of our Lapland adventures ) from Scotland This was to be our idyllic Dr Zhivago style experience with dreams of warm, cozy , modern Finnish accommodation , stunning snowscapes and to experience the world renowned Finnish hospitality and duty of care to their tourists . Our previous accommodation was so frigid and awful and each of suffering from physical medical conditions requiring hygiene , warmth and zero stress , we were on the verge of booking a flight home the next morning . In tears . The entire trip being a gift from one of our group as thanks for helping her emotionally survive a traumatic , heart breaking year . Such a sweet surprise and that shows her great depth of love and gratitude .Having been informed the shabby apartment was the most spacious by our tour operator rep we were ready to leave with a horrendous vision of this country . Thanks to the local cashier we decided to give Lapland a second chance . OMG ! This boutique hotel radiates Finnish style , ambience and dedication to excellence . Our receptionist instant upgraded us , gratuitously to rooms with spacious spotless saunas. Such a lively , comfortable, clean well designed property . Immense hearty breakfast and superb location . A fantastic bar and coffee shop on site along with a delicious finer dining restaurant .The staff go above and beyond at every opportunity to enhance their guests stay and level of comfort . If you decide to visit Levi , do not hesitate to book in . Thos beautifully appointed property with organic white birch shampoo shower gel etc will not...
