I had ordered a glögi but had not finished it while in the restaurant. I asked for a to go cup. The server let me take a cup from the counter and I poured in the glögi to go. As I got ready and was walking out, I was stopped by another person saying that I can’t take the glögi as they are not allowed to serve alcohol to go. I’m giving it a one star review because if this is forbidden by law, I should not have been allowed to take the drink in a to go cup in the first place. I would have just finished my drink and leave. This way, I had to leave the full cup with them and leave. Unfortunate bad experience.

REPLY: There was no misunderstanding. At first, she told me that she wasn’t allowed to serve an alcoholic beverage to go but then she told me “ok. Do as you like” with a nice smile. I then took the to go cup in front of her eyes and poured in the drink. I thought she didn’t want to enforce the law. Maybe the law is not so strict. As a foreigner, I don’t know how strict these laws are. The way she told me to do as I wished with a smile, gave the impression that she wanted to look the other way. Soitin kotisivuilta löytyvään numeroon. Yrittäjä vastasi ja oli erittäin harmistunut kun asiakas soitti kesken kiireen. Soitin hänen mukaansa numeroon johon ei normaalisti kuulu soittaa, numeron olin ottanut heidän kotisivuilta.

En ollut varaamassa pöytää tai kysymässä saako tulla syömään illallista. Soitin kysyäkseni voimmeko tulla kahville ja kakulle, koska kotisivuilla oli ilmoitettu ravintolan olevan vielä auki. En voinut tietää, että paikka on auki myöhempään vain tilauksesta ja/tai ruokailijoille.

Kerroin, että kuulen jo äänestä, että mieshenkilö ei ole hyvällä tuulella kun soitan, mutta asiakasplavelua ei silti pitäisi unohtaa. Tämä osui arkaan paikkaan ja aiheutti omistajssa selkeästi tunnereaktion. Yrittäjä ilmoitti, että "Ota pää pois sieltä missä se nyt on". Tunteita tulisi kiireen keskelläkin kyetä säätelemään, koska kiire ei ole soittajan vika.

Minulle olisi riittänyt vastaus, että kahvilapuoli on jo kiinni, tervetuloa huomenna. Olen käynyt levillä 25 vuotta, tiedän kyllä sesongin sekä ennakkoon varaamisen merkityksen. Olen tehnyt töitä paikallisille yrityksille ja aina pyrin tukemaan paikallisia yrittäjiä.

I called the number on the website. The entrepreneur answered and was very upset that a customer called in the middle of a busy day. According to him, I called a number that is not normally called, the number I had taken from their website.

I was not booking a table or asking if I could come for dinner. I called to ask if we could come for coffee and cake, because the website stated that the restaurant was still open. I had no way of knowing that the place would be open later by appointment and/or for diners.

I told him that I could already hear from the voice that the man was not in a good mood when I called, but that customer service should still be respected. This hit a nerve and clearly caused an emotional reaction in the owner. The entrepreneur said, "Get your head out of where it is now." You should be able to control your emotions even in the midst of a busy day, because being busy is not the caller's fault.

We have probably been in Levi 4 times a year over the past 10 years, but never found this amazing family cosy cafe/bakery/bistro. You will walk by their door if you don't look for it. Located in the main walking street, in the basement of a building, so not easy to spot. Cosy atmosphere and tasty pizza made with their own sourdough crust, also great fresh baked goods. Good selection of food and coffee. Even REAL Coke, and in a glass bottle. Usually hard to find Coca-Cola in Levi restaurants. This will be our new place from now on. Very happy we...
