Our family had the most magical Christmas thanks to Scandinavian Travel Group's Christmas theme program in Levi, Lapland. It was an enchanting experience that made our holiday truly special. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a festive atmosphere. The holiday decorations and the cozy log cabin where we stayed instantly put us in the Christmas spirit. What made this program exceptional was the attention to detail. It was like stepping into a winter wonderland straight out of a storybook. Our children, aged 3 and 5, were in awe of the magical surroundings. Meeting Santa Claus in Lapland was undoubtedly the highlight. The look of wonder on our kids' faces as they sat on Santa's lap was priceless. Santa was patient, friendly, and had gifts for the little ones, making it an unforgettable moment. The Christmas-themed activities were a hit with our family. We decorated gingerbread cookies, made beautiful Christmas crafts, and even went on a Christmas treasure hunt. The kids were engaged and excited throughout. The outdoor activities like sledding and snowman-building added to the winter wonder. Levi, Finland, provided the perfect backdrop with its snowy landscapes. The husky ride through the snowy forest was a thrilling adventure that our kids still talk about. The Christmas feast was nothing short of spectacular. Traditional Finnish Christmas dishes were served, and the flavors were incredible. It felt like a true Finnish holiday celebration. Our cozy log cabin was well-equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed hot cocoa by the fireplace and watched the Northern Lights from our window. It was a dream come true. What impressed us most was the warmth and professionalism of the Scandinavian Travel Group team. They went above and beyond to ensure our family had a memorable holiday. Their knowledge of Lapland and the Christmas traditions added depth to our experience. In the end, we left with hearts full of joy and memories to last a lifetime. Scandinavian Travel Group's Christmas theme program in Levi, Lapland, truly delivered on the promise of a magical holiday. If you're looking for the best way to create happy holiday memories with your...

âŹ750 for 3 adults and 3 kids. Went in January 2025.
I'd love to add some pics but we weren't able to take any!
We were given zero time with the dogs to quote the operator "bond" or even take pictures with them. For a once in a lifetime trip, this means no photos or similar or any experiences to remember with the dogs themselves. Every other experience we did, whether Arcandia, Elf Village, santa, reindeers, snowmobiling (through another company thank god), and so on - the service was as they described.
We self-mushed. My other half had a great experience on the ride hence its not a 1 star but mine was slow and lethargic, literally not using the brake apart from the initial mini slope onto the lake...not exactly the experience one expects or what others talk about and experienced.
We were collected an hour early (much to the surprise of the kennel owners) and prior to that, when asked how many were riding, the kennel owners appeared a bit shocked and one went off. Kennel hosts were nice but seemed extremely rushed. Due to this, we had no time with the dogs. Out of everything we had booked to do in and around Levi, this was the activity that we as parents were looking forward to the most and its the one that let us down the most.
On the plus side, the minibus driver was good and informative on the way down.
If you are looking at this for Xmas 2025 and early 2026, I'd strongly avoid Scandanavian Travel Group for huskies and go with someone else (Eanan or Wild Kemoji). We looked at these others before we booked and strongly regret doing a once in a lifetime activity with a company that offers a lot and...
Read moreUnfortunately our husky excursion was a huge disappointment: It was meant to be the highlight of our trip and we decided to book exactly this safari vs the one that NLV offers although we ended up paying 110⏠more because we wanted to go to a smaller, privately owned kennel in order to have a more intimate experience and time to learn about the dogs and to interact with them. I was hesitant because the kennel (âWild Witchâ) isnât on google maps so I couldnât read any reviews but booked it anyway. The tour we had booked was supposed to be 2.5 hours long and include a 5km husky sledge ride. The entire program lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes including a 30 minutes drive each way, waiting for the previous group to finish, listening to the instructions and the husky sledge ride. After the sledge ride some petting of the dogs on the sledge and a quick cup of watered down mull-berry juice (which my daughter didnât get because she took the time to look at the puppies in one of the cages); even the advertised gingerbread cookies were missing. The whole experience felt extremely rushed and while the guide was great, the owner of the kennel and the other guy working there felt borderline hostile towards us tourists and the whole place looked run down and uninviting. I feel like I wasted a lot of money for what should have been a magical experience for our family. On top of that after this experience I met other tourists who told me how happy they were with the NLV husky safari. Two stars for the friendly dogs and...
