Une maison en ville à Amiens — Hotel in Amiens

It was a nice b&b. It is an old building run by a family. The owner was very nice and super helpful even though he spoke little English. A couple of things to point out:||1) Do not arrive early without prior arrangement. I emailed the owner a few days before to see if we could check in 1 hour early however they never responded and we arrived early and no one was there. There wasn’t any seating for my elderly parents to wait the hour so we stood around. The place is in a residential street.||2) The bed was comfortable which is top of my list and the windows opened to allow the room to cool. ||3) It is a strange layout, you can hear your neighbours and the floors are really creeky. The windows also back onto a court yard shared by other houses. It was a little strange.||Overall it was pleasant made better by the owner. A one night stopover on our way to Paris but wishing it had been for longer. Lovely warm welcome upon arrival. Beautiful old French house with huge windows, high ceilings, large courtyard with many mature plants, shrubs and trees. We where able to store our bikes in the courtyard. We had a family room. Large bathroom with shower cubicle plus jacuzzi bath. One double bedroom with sofa seating area. One twin room with adjoining toilet. Kitchenette. The hotel was tastefully decorated throughout. Wonderful two night stay in Amiens at this superb Guest House. Our room (Notre Dame) was exceptional with modern furnishings and artwork to complement the elegant heritage refurbished elements with scale and proportions to match. Breakfast was fresh and beautifully presented. The courtyard at the rear of the property was a delightfully treed place to rest and reflect on the days activities. The Spa facility in the basement was magnificent to say the least - we shall enjoy it on our next visit. Aurelie and Christophe we excellent hosts. We could not recommend Une Maison en Ville...
