All the basics were there and we had good stay (6 nights). Value for money!||||Good:||- Great air condition (it was 28-36 celsius outside but room was really pleasant (22-23 celsius))||- Clean room||- Breakfast included with fresh oranges juice machine thingy||- Didn't hear any noice from other rooms (lucky or good walls)||- Location was okay||- Staff at reception was friendly||- Drinkable tap water (only with slight side taste, Paris feature)||- (Small) elevator (though it broke halfway our stay and was offline rest of trip)||- WiFi signal was good in our room (3rd floor)||||Could be better:||- WC/restroom was really small but gladly we are not large persons so we managed||- No refrigerator in room||- Room cleaning came up quite already in the morning (around 9 o'clock), don't forget do not disturb sign if you want slower morning||- Breakfast could have some vegetables and greens (like salad, tomato, paprika, cucumber) but it is propably normal France style breakfast. We also have vegan diet but staff from kitchen didn't speak good enough English to tell what is vegan and what is not.||- Slighty crooked shelf in our room (could not be used for items and room was already quite small)||- WiFi was free but you had to login through website (just give email) so you couldn't use Chromecast with room TV. I paid 180€ for the night with breakfast included and while everything was clean and tidy I do have several issues with my stay.
The room size, while 180€ is not really pricey per say, but I would have been expecting something bigger than a 16m² room including the bathroom. It was perfectly possible to brush your teeth while seated on the toilet, while some might see that as a convenience, it also shows how small everything is. The walls are very ineffective to block out sounds from your neighbouring rooms, I could hear the TV from the other side, and it's not even because the volume was excessive, from the hallways, the sounds are gone. The breakfast buffet is desperately minimal, for whatever price I paid I would have gone to any other café or whatever place I would have eat a king's ransom worth of food.
A lot of those complaints would have been fine if the price was below 140€ for the night, but at close of 200€, I was really expecting something with higher quality.
The pictures were taken about 2 steps away from the door, which essentially is just the bed a bit of walking space on...
Read moreApart from the comfortable bed, the clean room and the location (10 min walk from metro/RER station), I am really sorry to say there is nothing positive that I could add. Close to the La Defense/Nanterre Arena if you are going for a concert.||We knew that hotel rooms in Paris are very small and very expensive. And this one makes no exception: 12 sq m, from the door you can jump directly into bed. No room for luggage, clothes, if one person moves the other one has to sit because there is not enough space. The rooms are not soundproofed, you can hear everything from the other guests. Bonus: train passes by just outside your window. ||But the real surprise came when we saw the bathroom/toilet. The smallest I have ever seen. Impossible to move once you are inside. Difficult to have a normal shower. Bathroom door is quite transparent and does not closes totally, so you see/hear everything. Two days in a row the cleaning lady left only one towel for us although we were two people sharing the room. Not a pleasant experience...
