Restaurant Manufacture — Restaurant in Boulogne-Billancourt

Staying nearby this was a place recommended to go to. We arrived around 7.30pm and it was empty but before we left there were other dinners enjoying their meals. The menu is available in both French and English, some of the dishes are not what the English might expect, but when in France. You can have a starter and main for €34 or main and desert, all 3 will set you back €44. I started with pigs ears served warm and crunchie according to the menu, it was pork and onions with mushrooms and a lot of garlic very nice, my main was pan sautéed beef ribsteak again very nice. Service was prompt and the food great, drinks were a little on the steep side, but better than some. Would I go back...

1er test de ce restaurant dont j'avais vu quelques avis et photos fort intéressants au préalable. Arrivée en plein rush, on m'installe. Je constate, à la lecture de la carte qu'il s'agit d'une formule entrée + plat ou plat + dessert, le reste étant en supplément. Très bien.

Pendant ma petite attente, le fait d'être installée face à la cuisine m'a mise en appétit et m'a même donnée l'idée de commande car ça donnait envie quand les plats des autres sortaient.

Je reçois mon plat : succulent, c'est bien assaisonné, la viande est tendre. J'aurais bien voulu plus de purée en proportion de la viande mais bon, c'est la gourmandise qui parle. Le tout est accompagné d'un verre de jus multifruits que j'ai demandé, bien banal en revanche. Et puis, pendant que je mange, un monsieur âgé, que je pensais être le directeur de l'établissement au vu de l'audace, m'aborde et me parle à moins de 30 cm de mon visage, sans masques. Il se présente en tant que "client habituel du restaurant depuis 30 ans". D'accord, mais prendre ces aises en osant carrément me "draguer", me demandant en plus mon numéro de téléphone personnel alors que je mangeais tranquillement... Ça ne se fait pas ! (Je n'ai même pas la trentaine, monsieur doit avoir près de 70 ans...)

Je n'ai pas voulu créer un scandale, bien qu'au fond j'étais révoltée. Je suis restée polie mais sur ma fin. Il faut respecter les distanciations physiques et ne pas permettre à des gens "habituels" d'aborder n'importe qui sous prétexte qu'on est un habitué des lieux. Ce n'était pas respectable.

Je reste malheureusement sur ma faim mais quand même 3 étoiles pour tout le reste. Je n'ai pas l'intention de recroiser ce...

Good all around but not outstanding. They only serve fixed menu now, which is fine.

Had pig ears and asparagus for starters, beef steaks for main and strawberries and caramel brioche for desserts.

Pig ears could have been crunchier and white asparagus lacked the flavours. Steaks were good, and more or less cooked to order. Desserts were okay but not 'wow'.

The services were good, but not extraordinary.

Wine was good.

I seemed to have better memories of the place. Still, a good experience and...
