This was quite possibly the worst experience I have ever had in any establishment. I ordered my food and it had 0 taste. I ate only the fries. I politely asked to return the burger and pay for the fries that I ate, but was told no as "it is impossible that I did not like it" and proceeded to lecture me about how quality the beef was. The lady owner told me I still had to pay for my meal as due to the appearance of it, she could not resell the item to customers. (not sure if that insinuates that food sent back could be resold if it "looked presentable?" GROSS. The woman continued to speak to me in a very rude manner telling me every country is like this and does not accept returning food without paying.. which is obviously completely wrong. I even visited another restaurant and confirmed this was lie. HOWEVER I said OK and walked back to my table. She came to my table and continued to harass me about the topic very rudely and said "Look at how you left some fries on your plate. It seems you do not like anything!" I am glad this is located in France because a business ran in this manner would fail miserably almost anywhere else. LEARN HOW TO RESPECT YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO ALLOW YOU TO SURVIVE AND FEED YOUR FAMILY. :)
UPDATE: The facts are that you are being dishonest by saying I had several bites. I took 1 bite of the burger and as previously stated.. I ate most of the fries and I offered to pay for what I ate. Generational issue? That is comical as I could never learn anything of value from an "old lady" who is too prideful to simply be professional and not ARGUE with a patron! When you told me no to a refund, I said OK and went back to the table. You should have left it alone. What kind of business owner proceeds to harass someone for no reason at all? and proceed to tell me how things are in my country? Why would you choose to be in the restaurant industry if you do not care at all about the customers? Why can you not understand that everyone will not like the food you are accustomed to? I have seen all the reviews about how nasty you are to people. It is obvious you have much time on your hands to reply to reviews and argue with anyone who had a negative experience. Most of who were Americans/not French.. but surely that must be a coincidence ;) It is very unfortunate that you see no error in your ways and refuse to be respectful. Taking criticism is apart of life.. how are you an old lady yet do not understand this concept? Maybe YOU could use a lesson in...
Read moreThe greeting we got from a delightful young lady started off on the right track. She mentioned that she had traveled to Florida with her family and embarrassed us while reading the specials in English and apologized for her English “not being good.” It was amazing and so was she. Our server was a venerable old Frenchman who unapologetically did not speak English which I felt very proud of him for. France is his country and we should try to adapt to their language which we did! I love this restaurant! My wife had and recommends the French onion soup and the cheeseburger which is made of some amazing melted cheese that is nowhere to be found in America! My daughter and I both had the chicken Ceasar which was excellent. However, the second kind of bread that the server brought out was this sensational sliced bread that is as close to heaven as you will find. It was so divine, I did not have dessert! Beautiful atmosphere as we sat “in between.” Meaning we were close outside while being inside and got to enjoy the evening air. Highly recommend! ...
Read morePros: Open early, no wait. Cons: The food was not great.
This place was close to our hotel and was the only one open as early as 07:30 am. We went there for breakfast and ordered an Omelette with cheese. The omelette was not good, it was very watery, not seasoned at all (no spices, no herbs, no salt or pepper). We could not finish. We also had tea, which was ok (I mean, it is impossible to ruin tea). One cup of coffee was ok.
I’m giving them three stars because for a quick early breakfast just to be full it is bearable. Also, the location is nice. They sit on the corner of the street and have large glass windows, which creates that nice Parisian atmosphere within the restaurant itself. The chairs and the table were comfortable.
It took a minute for the staff to approach us to take our order but I wouldn’t hold that against them - maybe they were busy with morning preparations. The prices are...
