Loved my visit to Le Verre à Pied!

Olivier is a great host and the bar was full of (lovely) locals. The wine selection is great, mostly if not fully biological and if you don’t know what to get, no worries: the host - a dedicated sommelier - will be able to tell you the details, origins and stories behind all of them.

He also serves a very good variety of accompanying tasting plates. 👍

It was my first time and first night (and only night, unfortunately) in Cognac and got great tips for distillers in the region.

N’étant pas de la région, nous sommes passés par hasard devant le verre à pied en ayant délaissé la rue des restos qui nous inspiraient pas ( trop convenus). Nous y avons découvert une pépite. Le propriétaire est un vrai connaisseur des vins et nous a très bien conseillé, le casse croûte était très bon composé de produits haut de gamme. Le prix qui peut paraître élevé, est correct au vu de la qualité proposée, tout cela dans un cadre très original avec un accompagnement musical qui sort des standards habituels. Je ne peux...
