The MGallery Place Darcy hotel enjoys an ideal location in the heart of Dijon, making it an excellent base for discovering the city. The reception and luggage services were satisfactory, and the room was pleasant, although there was a noticeable disinfectant smell upon arrival.||However, a few elements slightly impacted my overall experience: there was no laundry service available over the weekend; the bar was closed on Sunday lunchtime (which was disappointing, as I had arranged to meet friends there); and no complimentary breakfast was offered to Limitless members over the weekend, whereas this is usually the case at other Accor properties. I was indeed upgraded, but I was neither greeted nor treated with the same attention usually experienced in other high-end Accor hotels.||In addition, the fitness centre is surprisingly small for a hotel of this category. The equipment, such as treadmills, is not connected to the internet, and there are no toilets or changing facilities nearby, which is quite disappointing.||As I am mainly based in the Asia-Pacific region, I notice a significant difference in service standards. This is even more striking given that the rates charged here are higher than those I have recently experienced in similar-category Accor hotels in Hong Kong or Singapore. Even in Sydney, one of the most expensive cities in the world, the experience at the Sofitel Darling Harbour offers better value for money. For the same weekend, the Sofitel was priced lower than the MGallery in Dijon, and the service level was markedly superior. Of course, comparisons are never perfect, but I am not comparing with developing countries where labour costs are low; the cost of living in Hong Kong, Singapore, or Sydney is considerably higher than in Dijon.||That being said, there were no incidents during my stay, and overall, the experience was smooth and pleasant. Nevertheless, the points mentioned above mean I cannot say I was fully satisfied with my stay. A few improvements would certainly help the hotel meet the level of excellence expected for its category.||The hotel is indeed a five-star establishment, as it meets the technical criteria, but part of the staff does not yet master the codes of true luxury hospitality.||I would not particularly recommend this hotel; however, given the limited high-end alternatives available in Dijon, it remains one of the few options – and perhaps this is part of...

I am a loyal client of Accor and visited a couple of MGallery, Pullman, and Sofitel: Geneve, Rennes, Toulouse, Lyon, Strasbourg... The best MGallery I have seen so far.
Maybe I'll go into details, I've been working at LVMH HQs, and I believe that luxe is all about details.
I think that behind scenes of this hotel, we can find a great manager, because the team works perfectly well with each other. As a client, I saw a dream team who puts in the center clients and works hard to provide the best service by helping each other. It is not possible without a great manager who recruits, trains, and develops his team! Bravo
Pre-check-in communication: accessible communication with hotel staff via email. I asked for their assistance with the dinner reservation, but I did it at the last minute. The restaurant was fully booked, but the team communicated it nicely and shared great restaurants nearby.
Valet parking: friendly, efficient, and super fast.
Check-in: I made my online checking, and my dossier was already ready, and the room was waiting for us (it was an early check-in). It took a couple of minutes to receive the keys. Our Accor Gold card benefits were waiting for us. It was great!
Communication was excellent: friendly, straightforward, caring attitude. Adore it!
In-room amenities: we had absolutely everything we needed. Take-away cups made me smile because I adore détails like this.
Room: perfect. It was big enough, with an outstanding view. Excellent design with a meaning!
Room service: delicious dishes and fast service.

Read moreWhile the hotel is located in a wonderful part of Dijon. And the breakfast service is the best we've EVER enjoyed. There were a couple of details that I'd like to bring to management's attention. 1- On the weekend room service was not very good. A simple request of ice, glasses, and 'salty snack's, were not processed. Both when we called Room Service directly (what we required was not available through the online ordering portal), or when we asked the Front Desk for assistance. Remarkedly bad. 2- Since part of our stay was over the weekend and we required laundry service, which is not provided on the weekend, we had to turn our bathroom into a makeshift laundry processing site. A hotel which promotes itself as a 'higher end' facility should surely provide for this service for its visitors. Unbelievable. While Room 104 was a nice room, I had some odd design features, which made our stay less than ideal. I'm an architect, so I have some familiarity with these issues. The decor was lovely. But the arrangement of storage cabinets meant was not good. As frequent travelers we need places to unpack our luggage which are convenient, easy to reach, and well organized. This was not the case with Room 104. And while the seperation of the toilet and the bath/shower/sink can be good design, there was very little places to unpack our toiletries, and personal items. The door between the bedroom and bathroom, which also served as a closet door, made for an odd and cumbersome relationship. Basic functionality for travelers was sacrificed to make a...
