I visited this hotel and spa back in 2019. The experience was then decent. With the re-opening of the Spa in late 2023, I decided to give it another go.||What a huge mistake.||I did book a room with a "cycle équilibre" program of treatments and was really looking forward to my experience, especially in the light of the fact that the package (hotel and spa treatments) costed about €2,500.||Arriving at the hotel was a non-experience. There was only one person at the check-in desk doing her best on a busy day. Being a Platinum member of Accor, I had no expectation of anything (Accor All probably being the worst loyalty hotel programme around). But it was odd not to have any polite mention of acknowledgment of membership along those lines : "Thank you for being a loyal member. We are aware that as a Platinum member, you may be entitled for a room upgrade. However, at this time, we are unable to offer you one and we are sorry about it but we do value your custom". Only "have you been here before", "yes", "here is your key". And what about the spa treatment programme : "go and see the spa about it"...||The room was decent but extraordinarily small. The open bathroom in the middle of the room is really not a great experience.||The meals were very nice but service was extraordinarily slow (and the waiters would readily acknowledge it).||However, it was the spa experience that was the worst : the "programme" was nothing more than a mix and match of treatments offered with absolutely zero consistency. My first treatment was a computer assessment of general heatlth. The therapist had no knowledge of how it all worked and the session ended up being her reading out what the computer was generating and offering silly advice (to sleep better, go to bed at consistent hours... really?). Some treatments were unavailable (you would be notified while waiting for the treatment outside the room - "oh sorry, the computer does not work" or "cryo is unavailable". As for the wet treatments, where to start ??? the therapists were obvisouly very yound and untrained (or recently trained). Most of them had absolutely no idea what they were doing. The whole experience turned out to be such a stressful experience and I ended up cancelling (without a refund) my last treatment as I got fed up with the really low level of professionnal standards of this spa.||This gives the impression that the spa was upgraded merely to generate more profit but not to improve customers' experience.||I will never return. ||I am not surprised. Accor Thalasso locations have been a real mess in recent years Dinard location left the Accor brand, Novotel Le Touquet is an unpleasant factory. Other Thalasso are getting old and not paying enough attention to customers' satisfaction.||The only Accor location still worth a visit...
Read moreAt the end of my tour of Normandy, a region that I recommend visiting, I spent four nights in Trouville in this magnificent hotel. The hotel is an historical building in the same building as the Casino. It has been renovated fairly recently. From the moment you arrive the guest is treated with care and attention: excellent valet parking, assistance with luggage and efficient check in. As I like in these 5-star establishments, check in is done while seated. The hotel is well maintained and I want to pay a big tribute to all the staff: reception, restaurant, concierge, SPA, etc. for their great professionalism and courtesy towards the guests. A big thank you to the concierge team who excellently recommended three local restaurants for dinner and took care of the reservations. I also recommend dining at the hotel restaurant one evening: the food is excellent and the price reasonable for a 5-star establishment. The breakfast simply WOOOOW: great choice of food with even an indication of the correct diet path to follow (I admit I did not follow it and I jumped on Croissant and pain au chocolat that were delicious!!). The room was very spacious and bright with a decor in light tones which I really appreciated. The bathroom, however, did not satisfy me for a 5 star: there was still a bathtub instead of a shower and at the washbasin the space to place objects was minimal. Absolutely top SPA! The heated seawater pool is spectacular. I also had other treatments and meeting other staff members and I must say they were all well prepared. The Swedish massage therapist was fabulous. Trouville is a very pleasant village that has nothing to envy from the more emblazoned Deauville. The hotel is right on the beach where you can rent sunbeds. I recommend a stay at this hotel as you will come out completely...

On arrival we we're told our room wouldn't be ready by 4 o'clock so they took our bags and suggested a drink on the terrace. No one to be seen outside, tables filled with dirty dishes and empty cups so we decided to walk along the beach and come back 20 minutes later. Only to be told you're supposed to seat yourself. 15 minutes later a waitress arrived and served 2 tables who arrived after us before and once finally served she had to return 2 minutes later to confirm my cocktail. Room check in fine, only our bags weren't in our room on arrival which made us late for our pool rdv(you have to book before). Pool tricky to get to with hardly any signs and no one at all to help us as we entered. Quite confusing to find entrance, showers to the pool etc. Salt water pools are nice and the parcours.
Room service man had a mistake with our order(Which the whole meal was refunded later to be fair) and had no idea what the vegan options were for the breakfast and did not offer to find out for me. Breakfast in the morning, avoid the scrambled eggs they are disgusting and totally inedible, bacon was cold. (Again had this meal refunded as it was no where near up to standard.) Buffet breakfast is much better than the room breakfast, but again avoid the scrambled eggs. We had a great time at the spa for a couples massage, very realxing and nice but not a super intense massage.
Our room was not as clean as we would have thought for a 5 star hotel, see pictures, coffee stained tables, carpet marks, curtains not clean and bathroom not up to scratch. All in all we had an okay stay, but...
