Marinette - Trouville-sur-Mer — Restaurant in Lisieux

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Marinette and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The cuisine was simply perfect. Every dish was a delightful blend of flavors, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the desserts, each course surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend trying Sole fish, which was a highlight of the meal. The service was unbelievable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They made sure that every aspect of our dining experience was impeccable, from the moment we walked in until we left. Their professionalism and warmth truly enhanced the evening. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and elegant. The decor was tasteful, and the atmosphere was perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. I wish I could give this place ZERO STARS I would ! What a hideous service by a French old man called Sylvain Who was incredibly rude from the moment he had sat us down, despite the fact we reserved a table ahead of our arrival , refused to sit us where we asked.

We then had to wait for about 15 minutes to be served. No one had come to the table , same man told us to wait whilst he attended others who were waiting for a table.

When I got up and complained he asked me if I’m on holiday ( which had nothing to do with my complaint and rather everything with his customer service skills ) and I was told to either wait to be served or - I can go! I was left shocked, no words, we got up - not before I complaint to his colleague.

Sylvain heard I was incredibly upset by him - and shouted in front of everyone in the restaurant ‘ bye bye - enjoy your holiday !’ Disgusting human, disgusting service- we were very happy to be treated well in the very delicious restaurant next door Les Vapeurs ( Le Central) which is next door is also recommended.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT UNTIL THEY LEARN HOW TO BEHAVE AS HUMANS RATHER...

This restaurant is a must-visit when you're in Trouville-sur-Mer. It’s quintessentially French in every way — from the great service to the classic French dishes. Our waitress, Ocean, prepared several items tableside, including deboning my sole meunière and flambéing the crêpe Suzette, which added a wonderful touch of theatre to the meal.

The food was absolutely delicious. Being a seaside town, seafood is naturally the highlight here, but the restaurant also offers excellent non-seafood options for those who prefer something else.
