This is my first visit to Paris and I could not have found a better place. It's worth every penny. The entire staff and I mean every one of them, is an absolute delight! So courteous and prompt in taking care of their customers. They are always available on WhatsApp and reply almost instantaneously. I booked it from their official website after comparing their prices with several vendor and indeed, their prices are most competitive. I had read several blogs and reviews before booking this place and they talked about a small, stylish, boutique hotel near to metro with great aesthetics but it's the staff who are the best part of my experience. One day we didn't get warm water in our washroom for a while and they fixed it immediately but apologised to us profusely as well. There were protests happening in Paris during our stay, a nationwide strike on 6th April 2023 it seems and we were concerned whether we will be able to venture out, whether public transportation will work etc. They helped us with all our queries and promised to keep us updated about any development.
The rooms were cosy (I have heard Parisian rooms are not large) but they had used the space judociously and decorated it well. Each minute detail in the decor adds to its beauty. I had the view of the garden from my window and overall I had a comfortable stay. We were greeted by balloons and a cute post card as it was our anniversary and I had mentioned it in requests. The staff even has curated lists of restaurant recommendations near to their hotel and across Paris. It was extremely helpful when we were tired and didn't wanna search for a good dining place online.
The best part is that it is literally two minutes walking distance from the metro -Le Goblins. The only thing I would suggest is to take a day pass ( we took day passes for 2 days) as the entrance near to hotel doesn't have a ticket counter, you have to walk farther and get the ticket. So, once you get the ticket for however many days you are staying then you can access the nearest entrance from hotel for...
Read moreAs a solo traveler, I truly enjoyed my 3-night stay in a single room at Hotel Henriette! I booked directly on their website for the best price. I asked for a high floor, and they were able to get me a room on their top floor (floor 6) at the end of the hallway. The hotel is small but uses space wisely. The elevator can comfortably fit 2 people, and the hallways are narrow. Sound can transfer between walls; luckily, my neighboring room was quiet, and I didn't have any noise from above.
The single room is small but smart. There is a twin bed (spring mattress, which isn't as comfortable, but I still slept fine), a small desk, a nonfunctional TV, and a closet with a safe. The bathroom nicely fits a toilet, sink, and shower with some shelf space above the toilet. Dual head and body soap is provided, which smells great. There is central heating and cooling, which works well. And the view from the window is lovely.
Wifi is also good, in case you need to do some remote work. I worked in the downstairs dining area for a bit, and the speed test came back 130 mbps download, 135 mbps upload. Zoom worked great. But, after 30 mins, the dining room wifi stopped working, so I went up to my room to finish my work day. The speed test in the room clocked 52 mbps download, 16 mbps upload, which also worked well for my meetings and other work needs.
Service here is fantastic. The staff are very kind. There is free filtered still and sparkling water by reception. And, post-breakfast, they leave complimentary pastries by the seating area near reception.
Location is great as well. The hotel is around the corner from a metro stop, making it easy to use public transit to and from the airport. There are multiple grocery stores and pharmacies within a few blocks. It's very walkable!
10/10, would...
Read moreWe stayed 9 nights at this hotel for our vacation in Paris. I wanted a small, boutique style hotel in a less busy/touristy area and Henriette was perfect for that. It was more affordable than similar style hotels I looked at. We loved the neighbourhood (Les Gobelins, Mouffetard area) which felt much more authentic in terms of Parisian life than some of the other neighbourhoods we visited. The other guests seemed to be mostly French, which was a good sign to us it was a good choice! It was quite a relief arriving back to our hotel are and having dinner after a day in busier, tourist filled streets. The restaurants here were never too crowded or chaotic. The Mouffetard area was fantastic for food options! There were also some lovely little shops and courtyards in the area. The metro is just down the street, which gave us access to virtually anywhere in the city.
We stayed in a small double room and then moved to larger double room for the last 2 nights of our stay. I would recommend the larger room for a couple as it felt much less cramped, but it was not available for our first 7 nights. The window facing the courtyard was lovely. We only had the express breakfast (coffee and pastries) one morning so cannot really comment on the full breakfast. I loved that they had a self serve water station at the bottom of the stairs and you could refill the provided bottle for no extra charges. The courtyard was a cute place to sit and have a drink. The staff was always friendly and helpful with our questions, and were patient with our poor French! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a boutique hotel away...
