Very clean hotel in a convenient location. I picked this after staying at another Astotel during my first trip to Paris in 2019 and leaving with a great impression of the hotel chain. I went to different ones for free afternoon snacks while I was out and about during my last trip.

The hotel itself is one little block in from the heavier traffic streets, so it’s very quiet at night. There’s a Monoprix about a block away, Starbucks about 2-3 blocks away and a nail salon across the street. Most of the locations I wanted to go to are about 20-30 minute walk from the hotel. I wanted to do more of a walking trip this time rather than spend time hopping on and off trains, I’ve had enough of subways in NY.

This location is great for those looking to walk around the city and taking things slow. I included some of the goggle map walking directions for reference. Area overall felt pretty safe to me as a solo traveler. Some areas will still have homeless people, but nowhere near as many as I saw in NY.

If you are in a rush to stick to an itinerary, there are also a couple of train stations nearby and a Taxi stand right around the corner from the hotel.

Hotel staff was super helpful during my stay. I was able to check in a bit earlier than I expected since my room happened to be ready when I arrived. It was a great relief because I had just gotten off an awful flight with a kid kicking my seat all the way from NY to Paris, then got stuck in a smelly taxi for 2 hours in traffic before reaching the hotel. While I was waiting to check in, I saw another lady get help with recommendations and rescheduling a reservation from the front desk. They also helped me book a taxi for my trip back to the airport on the day I checked out.

I love the cute decor and was able to get a room on a higher floor away from the elevator as I requested. I’m sensitive to noise and the room location gave me a few restful nights of sleep. A couple of the nights I had very noisy neighbors. People laughing like they’re screaming and kid jumping and screeching for what felt like an eternity, the hotel can’t exactly control obnoxious guest behavior. Aside from those two occasions, it was pin drop quiet, just the way I liked it.

The free snack bar was nice in a pinch, but I mostly just grabbed snacks from Monoprix and emptied out my minibar every day. Restaurants in the area close around 10-11PM. I kept missing the closing times when I went back to the hotel for naps, thinking I’d rest before going out to dinner. Never really got over my jet lagged and kept an odd sleeping pattern during my stay this time, so I kept my room very well stocked with snacks of my own.

Hotel room overall looks fairly new and was kept very clean during my stay. I didn’t use the thermostat or AC during my stay since the temperature was comfortable in early May. The two usb ports were useful for charging my iPhone, would be great for those who forgot to bring a travel plug or power converter.

I’m very happy with my stay and have already recommended this hotel to a friend who is planning to go to Paris soon. This is my second stay at an Astotel and I would not hesitate to book a third stay at either this hotel or another sister hotel next time...

We stayed here for 6 nights last week and had a great stay. The hotel staff member on reception was extremely welcoming when we first arrived to check in and one of the other staff members offered us a couple of bottles of water, which we were grateful of.

The breakfast bar/kitchen staff were very hard working, they were always busy refilling the breakfast items or cleaning the floor or hoovering and generally looking after the place, but would always greet you with a cheery smile and hello.

There was a great selection of food for breakfast, something for everybody, all tasty and a wide variety of herbal teas and coffee from the machine or juices which was all good.

Our room was always cleaned each day and to a good standard.

The room itself was a premium room and was massive really and well kitted out. Everything worked. The only negatives I can think of is the bath was a little slow to drain, so if you had a shower it ended up like a paddling pool, and the toilet seat was not a slow close type, so it is easy to let this drop when closing (as we are used to that at home), the pillows weren’t the most comfortable ever, but were ok, the bed itself was very comfy, but this is really nit picking, it was a great room.

The decor and style of the room and the hotel in general is very cheery, funky and stylish. Loved the artistic graffiti drawings on the walls with the cats, birds and people drawn on there. As it was close to Halloween they were just starting to put decorations up for that and had even made an effort there.

We made use of the snacks and soft drinks offered downstairsad part of the package - this was a great little feature. You could even do this in their other hotels in the chain, but we didn’t really come across those in our travels.

The reception staff were always pleasant and said hello when we came in, and the owner himself came to greet us when we checked out and handled our luggage storage personally until we came back later in the day to leave Paris.

Overall then a fantastic place to stay while you are in Paris. The Saint Augustin Metro stop is very near by and plenty of buses going past on the main road and not too bad for walking to a lot of attractions such as arc de triomphe as we did. The area around the hotel was very quiet and felt safe.

Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Paris and hope they keep up the good work and...
