We loved this place! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere very quaint and appealing. We went for dinner at 7:15 (a little early by Paris standards) and the place was at about 90% occupany inside with half seating available outside.
The owners clearly made an effort to make the atmosphere better than most brasseries and restaurants in the area (typically bland) with wall and ceiling decor reminiscent of small town France.
The food was first rate (See pics) and there was a broad selection of options that should satisfy anyone in your party. Some of the popular dishes (pork chops or the Cordon Bleu) run out early but you'll find a substitute you'll like. I had the Ravioli, which was out of this world. The cream sauce and cheese melted on top were absolutely fantastic. My wife had the Risotto and it was really good also. Creamy and tasty and well-proportioned, it was a great find.
Not pictured were the fantastic starters we had. We shared the crispy goat cheese and honey (sort of like spring rolls but a lot better) and the artichoke flourettes. Both were so good. I seriously debated just ordering them again for my main course.
The cocktails were very good, and there's a good wine selection. The service was friendly and multi-lingual and was good-natured about my efforts in French. The waiters/waitresses at this place, like most French brasseries, isn't particularly attentive but is there quickly when you need something. Just catch their eye and they come right over. I found our waitress to be friendly and efficient.
I would highly recommend this place for dinner. We will be going back before we...
Read moreI was a guest of a French friend and the look of the restaurant and the atmosphere was so lovely and so very French
Shame - We were seated so close to others that it was hard to hear and certainly table size was so small we couldn’t fit the food on the table that we ordered
The starters were fine the Niçoise salad was amazing - loved it
Salade niçoise is a salad that originated in the French city of Nice. It is traditionally made of tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, beans tuna ( lightly grilled)
The Rose (wine) was really good too and we both really enjoyed the food
Maybe a French thing but the staff here were rude - several times we were pushed by waiters even when we sat at our table
On arrival we were both pushed out of the way from one waiter - so not much of a welcome
Funny one young waitress was doing shots at the bar while we were having our coffee - so very French !?
There needs to be a standard - we didn’t look to get as much service as other tables (maybe we are not young enough) - I had to asked for water 3 times before it arrived (Americans would hate that!)
This was a restaurant with a lot of French locals menu was French but easy to understand - you could access it on your phone with pictures or a paper copy was available too
I enjoyed the night and would recommend if you stay nearby that you visit - just watch out for the waiters with massive trays laid with heaps of food and drink held high above their shoulders….and remember to quickly get out...

Food We ate here several days due to proximity to our hotel and that the food had an overall high quality. The portion sizes are good and you will probably not go home hungry. We tried the following dishes and to give you a sense of how good it was
Small fried fish, aioli 8/10 Crispy artichoke flowers 8/10 Octopus skewer 9/10 Razor Shells 7/10 (only because the shells were broken and could damage teeth) Caeser sallad 7/10 Quinoa, avocado and pomegranate sallad 8/10 Eggplant 7/10 Fillet of sea bream 8/10 Risotto with prawns 9/10 Mafaldine with truffle 10/10 Secreto Iberico 7/10 Tiramisu 10/10 (just order one if you're two traveling , it's huge!)
Staff & Service Very attentive staff overall. You'll find people from all walks of life working here and it feels relatable and authentic. We had one girl, although with a bright smile, sloppily bashing cutlery in the table. But hey, she was happy to do so, and so were we! Meny is a QR code on each table. From here you'll access an english menu. If you come with a suitcase the staff will store it for you in their office.
Location & Transport Just across the road from Metro Saint Augustin. Mostly locals eating and drinking here. Perfect spot to just sit outside and just watch people passing by. Young and vibrant place and the volume gets louder as the day turns into evening.
I'd recommend this location and will return next...
