Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. We had a bad experience last weekend. Waiting time was quite long so we ordered a starter to bridge the time. Potatoes were sold out so no "pommes frites". I ordered a burger with a vegetable add-on. The burger came with pulled pork where I expected minced meat. Maybe that was my fault of misunderstanding the menu. The bun was quite hard and I had difficulties to cut it with a knife but maybe the knife was just no sharp enough. The vegetables where overcooked and with a weak taste. My wife ordered a salad together with the burger and there was hardly any dressing that came with it. Just disappointing as a whole. And not at all good value for money. Only the wine was a good choice, a bottle of Vouvray white wine. On another table I noticed a waiter trying to recognised the dish he had to serve. He was almost trying to smell but in the last moment recognised he better not do it.

A FOODIE’s ENJOYMENT OF A HEARTY FRENCH DINNER 🇫🇷👏😎. This was a chance find as I strolled myself into Place St Augustine. The lovely street seating drew me as I needed to rest my feet. I thought it was a bar, but it turnout a rather somewhat posh restaurant. The interior dining rooms are chandeliered, large ones😎😎😎. The menu book has 2 short faces for food, the rest are libations (wines, cocktails, beers). The terrine was terrific, the most textural I’ve ever had anywhere👏👏👏. Then the Souris d’agneau was outstanding. It’s a large braised lamb shank, very tender and juicy , the sauce so very smooth and delicate 🤩🤩🤩. It came with Haricots Vert ( green beans), its perfect company. I surprised myself that the bottle of Bandol (estate bottled) was a perfect rose for the dinner: radiant color, semi dry, bold yet so very refreshing and cleanses the palate to savor the lamb.🥂🥂🥂 Service was excellent.

We stumbled upon this restaurant the first night we were in Paris and were very happily surprised at our luck. Amazing food and very friendly service (Yazin spoke some English and with my stumbling high school French we made it work). We went back a second time because it was so good. My sons both had the grilled beef on both nights (melt in your mouth tender and savory), I had the grilled sea bass the first night (amazing) and the duck on the second night (tender, juicy and flavorful). My husband had the chicken. We wanted to go a third time but reluctantly forced ourselves to change things up because we were visiting Paris and went elsewhere. On our second night our server gave us each a complimentary box of 2 cookies to take home. Nice touch!
