Beware the pictures do not reflect the reality of this hotel. Do not get duped into thinking that is a good deal. |The hotel is very small, and even smaller rooms. No elevator, and no one to help you carry your luggage up to the rooms (at least two flights up). Noisy neighborhood especially on the weekend. Almost see-through small towels. Thin blankets. No closet space whatsoever. They have tow lonely nails on the wall if you have to hand something. Just make sure you get your own hangers. I have to live out of my suitcase that was on the floor since there is no place (or space to put it anywhere in the room). ||The entrance is not secured as the reception is on the second floor tucked in an inside corner of the building without direct sight of who comes in and out. The main door is on the street level has an entry code and anyone can have access directly to the rooms without going through the reception. This felt extremely vulnerable especially if you are a solo female traveller.||I asked for the hotel to arrange for a taxi to drop me off at the airport. I learnt from the taxi driver that he had to pay the receptionist 15 euros everytime they call him for an airport drop-off. It felt so cheap and unprofessional.||My bill for this hotel was 645 Euro for three nights...
Read moreDon't get fooled by the google street photos. The sign on the wall indicating that this is a 1-star place is from the hotel that was there before. When I arrived on the 19 May 2022, Hotel Ernest had opened just the day before, so I was met with a completely refurbished hotel, in top-notch condition. Everything seems to be very small, but they manage to get absolutely everything they can out of the space, supported by a very good interior designer and all furniture in great quality. The staff are all friendly and English speaking, ready to accommodate a multitude of visitors. I was there for business for only three nights, and it served my purpose brilliantly, and I will definitely look for them again, next time work takes me to Paris. As far as I could see, there is not an elevator, which means that people in wheelchairs or otherwise struggling to walk, will find the place not entirely to their needs. Also, there is no braille to cater for those needs. This puts limitations to whom they can serve. But if you are not in any of those groups, and if you do not travel with very heavy luggage, this hotel is very...
Read moreThe best budget friendly hotel I recommend in Paris! The location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Within 10 mins walk near Gare du Nord. That is why I chose it coz I needed to take the train to CDG airport the next day.
Room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ At first I did not have high expectations but I was surprised by the facilities in the room: TV with Netflix & YouTube, well established lights especially beside the bed, clean bathroom. I have to say the facility was out of my expectation.
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I left my cash and ID card in the room and flew to Nice😂😂😂To my surprise, the staff found out and contacted me through email. They took a photo for me to help me remotely when I needed the soft copy. Then they kept the documents for me for a week until I flew back to retrieve. Amazing staff!!!
I only took a photo of the welcome card after checkin. But strongly recommend it to others!
BTW: pay attention to the fact that the Ernest hotel is built in an old Parisian building and...
