If you know what's good for you, do yourself a favor and read the reviews to be warned. If I could give zero 🌟 I sure would. Can't be mad at myself though, the reviewers said it all. Room is small, ain't no balcony view, yes none smoking still gives you smoke, rude front desk staff... Although to be fair I reckon it's the weekend man who is rude as... when I checked in on Thursday the guy was really friendly and helpful and spoke English. Oh yes Sunday morning woke up to an icy cold shower and because I had the misfortune of having THE rudest man in customer service, he pretended to not understand what I was saying...Non apologetic about the situation at all. Honestly as long as they keep getting service they really don't care, one would think that with as much bad reviews as they have, management would want to make an effort but not to be the case. It's unfortunate because they are so brilliantly located too...But guess what so are other hotels in the area. I'm sorry it's a long review but I too read the reviews and thought that it wasn't as bad as the kind reviewers had made it out to be...I was the fool who did not heed...
Read moreSmall room; breakfast not included, and would have gotten 3 stars if not for convenience at a good price (book well ahead, or it's not so good) and the excellent advice and service from desk staff Chems, who directed us to local restaurants and helped us as we recovered somewhat from jetlag.||Picked hotel as a crash place before landing at atrocious CDG and taking train the next day from Montparnasse to peaceful Chinon. Reasonably short walk from the station, and close to Cimitaire Montparnasse, Jardin de Luxembourg, and the magnificent Catedrale ND, which was mostly repaired and shone in the sunlight after days of rain.||Area is jam-packed with Middle-Eastern and Asian restaurants, as well as a multitude of Continental and even a few French. Some seedy areas, but nothing the least bit threatening.||Internet was down during our entire stay, which was a major inconvenience, and apparently relatively common occurrence.||Passed on breakfast as there were patisseries aplenty in the neighborhood.||Room was cramped, but typical of big-city hotels worldwide, and comparable to a Japanese business hotel- it's not a Fairfield...
Read moreWe stayed at La Perle for a night before caching train to airport and were disappointed with the hotel. Primary reason we booked this place was for their advertised Airport Transfer Shuttle Service. Which was them advising we take public transportation or they can book us a hundred dollar cab, thanks but I can do that myself. Which was made more difficult by their almost non existent WiFi. Was only able to catch a small signal for a few seconds every once in a while.||||Other misleading description was their "courtyard view" rooms. By "courtyard" they mean a one metre square ventilation shaft running between walls to a drain at floor height, not even open to the outside at the top therefore no air or light gets in through the window.||||The room, while awkwardly laid out, was actually pretty nice. So if you're just crashing for the night and moving on it's well...
