Area was near to lots of transport options and easy to find.Off the Main Street and quiet, no traffic noise.Check in was simple, quick and efficient, explained facilities and answered any queries we had, were shown around the downstairs area where breakfast was served and the lovely courtyard garden!
Room was quite spacious (we had a room on the 4th floor) it was clean, modern, great air con, coffee and tea making facility, fridge and safe, hairdryer, plenty of storage and bathroom was a good size.Opening window with a street view, black out curtains and voile for privacy.Wifi was easy to connect, with a good speed and nice sized tv on the wall,Plenty of lights and mirrors to. Local shops for any supplies needed while staying in the area,we frequently used the Metro underground system to get around and the buses, we used the airport transfer bus to get in and out of Paris to CDG and the stop is really close to the hotel so gave us extra time on our last day to get the most out of our trip, luggage storage available free of charge. Montparnasse tower very close with a great view of Paris and Eiffel Tower (which is a must at sunset to see Eiffel lit up!).Nice walk to Jardins de Luxembourg to! Plenty of places to eat within a short walking distance or a little further for even more! Cannot comment on the breakfast available as we were up and out early each morning but always pastries and drinks available if we required anything. We were staying for my birthday and first visit to Paris and it didn’t disappoint, staff were super friendly, with a nice relaxed and informal attitude which made you feel relaxed and at ease through the stay, Hotel has a nice atmosphere, answered emails promptly, I asked for some advice before travelling and they answered with easy to understand instructions. Excellent stay and cannot wait to book again, got an excellent deal booking direct on the Hotels website, well done to all the staff at Hotel Mistral for making our stay such a...
Read moreWhat a wonderful stay we had at Hotel Mistral! We selected this hotel because of the close location to Gare Montparnasse, which we were traveling to and from Paris through. Even though it was a quick 5 minute walk to the station, the hotel felt worlds away from the busy train station. It was located on a quiet, small street just behind the Montparnasse Cemetery, which was lovely to walk through. We never heard any noise from our room and we had a window overlooking the street. The hotel is well appointed with a small reading nook in the lobby with a lot of interesting titles to choose from. We had a nightcap in the lounge one evening after sightseeing and it was very enjoyable while sipping my wine to peruse one of the books on Paris. There is also a small table with provided computers for hotel guests. In the mornings, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet set up in the lounge. The variety of food provided was really amazing and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was also a very lovely outdoor patio available for guests as well. The rooms are small, as most are in Paris, but had everything we needed, including a refrigerator. There was a small convenience store located next to the hotel which was useful for picking up snacks and drinks for the fridge. The rooms were extremely clean as well. Would definitely recommend staying here when you...
Read moreVery nice, comfortable, clean and convenient hotel! They've remodeled this old building very nicely, keeping the small elevator and circular staircase! We were welcomed by a very nice and efficient front desk employee. And they have free croissants in the lobby! Our room is well decorated and clean. The fridge is fancy (glass front) and hidden in the cabinet. The beds are comfortable! The bathroom is bright (nice to have a window), well laid-out (space used well), very clean and has thoughtful accessories (like a towel dryer and a stool for anyone who needs to sit in the shower). The petit dejeuner (€14) is very good, with an espresso machine (if it's working... unfortunately is was broken four of the five mornings we were there, sad face) and many food options, as well as friendly service! It's pretty loud when trying to sleep (rooms are close together walls are pretty thin and floors are creaky...old building), so ear plugs are helpful, but not a perfect solution if you have...
