Koï — Restaurant in Paris

Excellent little Japanese place held by Japanese people. The homemade gyoza were to die for! Absolutely recommend, I haven't eaten many this good previously! We weren't really up for sushi 🍥 so ended up going for udon and the chicken teriyaki rice bowl. These were nice meals but lacked a bit of backbone and a "je ne sais quoi of wow". More variety of taste for the udon broth would have been great. Whereas the teriyaki was very not bad however very salty. Perhaps this being a sushiya we should have eaten sushi instead of other dishes! In any case staff is wonderful, plates arrived swiftly on the table and we did not leave hungry!...

The food was aaaaamazing! The sushi were so creative and so good. We had a roll menu with 4 different of their sushi Roll. Each one was surprisingly tasty. It was an explosion of flavor! The waiters were also really nice. Unfortunately, we only got a chance to try to miso soup and the cabbage salad, which were good. There appetizers looked good but it was a good thing we didnt order them cause we were completely full from the 4 sushi...

I had the salmon don, the taste was unique as I have not had that before. It's not great but suits my taste. The karagee curry rice was below par, as compared with my home country (Malaysia) and of course Japan. The miso soup was awful, with too little miso and obviously added with msg. A place with good value meal but...
