This ibis is ok, but nothing special. The reception staff are great, very professional and friendly. My first room was not properly cleaned, but I directly got a new one, so no big deal. The rooms are not very spacious, but there is some sort of table and a small wardrobe. There is no luxury, the shower head has probably not been decalcified in a year, and everything feels just clean enough to be acceptable. It's an all-around mediocre experience without any unique charm. The hotel's location is, of course, great. What annoyed me the most was the breakfast. The staff there are friendly and try to be helpful. But if the breakfast is open until a certain time, I expect that I can grab something to eat until the very last minute. Not at this ibis, where 5 minutes before the breakfast buffet closes you are told you came too late. Totally unprofessional and something I have never experienced before. The breakfast buffet itself is also a mess. There is no full grain bread. They have all kinds of nuts and seeds, but no oats?? Ok, then one has to take 5 spoons of walnuts instead? There are different kinds of joghurt, which is good, but nothing is labeled. At least the coffee wasn't bad and they even have cups to take one to-go. But that was probably the only part of the breakfast that did not disappoint over the course of a 5-night stay.

We were happy during our stay in Ibis Paris Avenue d’Italie. We arrived around noon and we were glad that our room was ready so we were able to check in early, without additional costs. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating, even received and kept a delivery we expected which arrived while we were still outside. The room is okay, though the shower is quite small. Although we expect this already, considering that we’ve been booking at iBis for quite a few times already. Important is the room is clean and a good bed for you to sleep in after a day of being outside. The location is very good, just 3 mins walk from the Place d’Italie metro station. However, the AC in the room 617 was not working and we had to open the windows so air can come in, unfortunately, the noise from the outside can be heard when the windows are opened but we did not have a choice since the AC was not working at all and was quite hot even during mid-October (humid because of the rain). The TV was also good, it was a smart TV so we were able to cast our phones. Also, when we checked out, we left our luggage at the reception and they had tags for each luggage/box left so it was easy to locate when we were about to leave. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and we will definitely book again when we come back to Paris.

This hotel is terrible! It's old, dirty, and extremely poorly equipped. I will never stay here again, not even at an Ibis. I wouldn’t expect an experience this bad! 1. No safe. Imagine staying at a hotel without a safe—it feels so insecure. 2. Embarrassingly sparse amenities. There are only two small, flimsy pillows, two towels, and a hairdryer that works sporadically. Besides that, there’s nothing else—just a tiny trash can, which I had to place next to my toothpaste for scale. Very inconvenient. 3. Outdated renovation. The renovation dates back to 2004, making everything feel old, especially the carpet, which looks dirty. Staying in such a room feels suffocating. 4. Dishonest pricing. When I asked the front desk to book a taxi, they quoted me 79 euros, even though the standard rate from Paris's Right Bank to CDG is 65 euros. Misleading and dishonest! When people travel, they expect a comfortable hotel where they can relax and rest well. But this hotel ruined my entire trip to Paris. I couldn’t rest properly, felt exhausted, and honestly, it was miserable. I paid nearly 200 euros for this kind of quality? I truly can’t understand how this place has any five-star reviews—it's absurd!

We arrived around 3am for our 3 night stay and were told our booking is cancelled as were marked as “no show” and consequently were charged one night stay. This is despite the fact that we specifically wrote to them that we would arrive at 3am. They claimed this is standard process for stays with no prepayment (those who pay upon arrival) - in this case, why did no one have the courtesy to notify us before we arrived? Why even accept “no prepayment” as an option on Booking if you’re going to do this? Just unorganised bad bad customer service.

After much back and forth, the receptionist re-instated our booking albeit for a slightly higher overall total than what we initially booked via Booking. It was 3am so we were just happy to have the room we booked.

Arriving into the room, there was a strong and disgusting odour that would not disappear even after leaving the window open for an hour. At this point, we were too tired to go down and complain so we accepted our fate for the night. Also, if you choose the option of “two single beds”, you just get what is essentially a single bed frame with two mattresses side by side - not very honest by the hotel to advertise it as two single beds. See the other reviews mentioning this also.

The next morning we went down to reception to check out and get a refund on the remaining two nights (due to our poor experience) but we’re refused by reception as they said it was their policy to only refund one night (even though we had two nights remaining). We contacted Booking who agreed to refund the remaining two nights.

Overall, I would highly advise others not to stay...

the worst hotel I have visited in my life I stayed there for a week from 12/10 to 19/10/2021 on the last day of my stay in the afternoon as soon as I returned from the walk in the city center I found that 150 € was missing from my suitcase where I had left them there in the same folder whith my air tickets, considering that it will be safe. I immediately notified the reception at 8 o'clock and told them that I would give them two hours in order to find a solution and solve the incident as a random event when this deadline passed. I did again inform the reception where in a very rude way told me that i must go to the police station and that they can not do anything as the manager was missing. So after I called 112 for more information and how should i act at 10:30 I went at the nearest police station where I was told to go again there at 5 o'clock in the morning as they did not have the necessary staff available.||at 5 o'clock I went again but this time they told me that they didn't had again the necessary staff which would come at 8 in the morning and claiming that it would be a rather time consuming process. So in the end I could not testify as my return plane would left in a few hours so by diabolical coincidence I couldn't do anything.||For that reason I want to share my experience with you so that you will not experience similar situations.||Thank you very much for the time you gave to read it if anyone needs more information I can reply...
