First off, if you get to interact with Paul, he’s wonderful and very accommodating. I left an entire bag with gifts from my European trip and he was kind enough to hold it in the office for me to pick up at a later date.
The location of this place is fantastic. It’s a short 5-6min walk to the metro and there are some really good restaurants around the block. There is a little grocery store about 2 blocks away so if you like to cook at home, you’ll be able to stock the fridge.
The apartment itself is cute and very Parisian. Depending on how you book (we did it through booking.com) they don’t specify what apartment you’ll be in as there are many that are listed on the actual listing. The photos we saw online was not at all the apartment we ended up getting (the photos drew us in). The unit we got was on the top floor and this building does not have a lift. We had to haul 6 pieces of luggage up and down the stairs which was not easy as some of the stairs are uneven (it’s an old building). It’s not accessible friendly at all so keep that in mind. The unit itself was nice and cute, but you can tell it’s been neglected or, it hasn’t got those pain points fixed. There were a lot of things that were loose on the walls and two of the light switches had exposed wire coming out so we were afraid to turn on the lights. A couple of the lights didn’t work at all and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in a lot of places. Wear and tear that are all easy fixes but haven’t been addressed. We were in the “Kashan” unit and it’s advertised as a two bedroom. The second bedroom is upstairs in the attic and had a bathroom but be warned, there are no doors to the upstairs bedroom or the bathroom up there. See photos for clear example. We didn’t end up using the bathroom upstairs as there was little to no privacy. If you’re going to book here (which I would still recommend) be sure to get clarity on which unit...
Read moreCesspool water flooded the bedroom at night. We couldn't breathe because of the very bad smell in the room, we felt discusting from the smell. Even though we closed the door of the room, the smell surrounded the whole house. I hope it doesn't get germs. When we informed the employee about the situation,he said to open the window and sleep in livingroom . I save the all message . He didn’t try to solve or say any excuse . He was very rude When I said , please find a solution , it smell very bad how can ı sleep it not safe you don’t care, ı will complain to booking com , he said leave the house , by saying go away at 11 pm at night. I said how dare you, my daughter scared and begin to cry and he run away. There is a disrespectful, rude and insolent employee, do not stay there, your room will suddenly flood with toilet water and you will not be able to stop the smell, and you will encounter the disrespectful and rude attitude of the employee. By the way, there are caterpillars everywhere, on the walls, in my bed and in my ceiling, and they have bitten the children. The location is very good, but do not stay in this apartment choosing others this location . The cesspool may flood your room at night and the employee may be rude and disrespectful and when ı said ı will complain you booking com he threaten me by telling me to leave the room at 11 at night 2 women 2 kids. This owner of the house more losses with this employee. this is unacceptable. They ruined my beautiful...
Read moreWe wanted to love this place. It looked charming; the location is very good, but looks can be deceiving. And were. The maintenance, upkeep, and facilities are worn out and broken. The AC, needed for medical reasons, did not work. And when we tried to get them fixed (or leave and get a refund of the balance), the owners were disgustingly rude. Paul (concierge) was nice and helpful, but owner tried to blame us for the poor maintenance and for the AC not working even though AC repair person said it was a maintenance issue. The owner said it was because we opened the windows (it was colder outside than in; lol). And we proved that the AC would not cool the unit below 75 degrees at any time. But that's not all; there is much more: leaking faucets (onto the clean dishes), sewage smells (in one of 2 units), outlets coming out of walls, mold, soap scum, musty smells, dirty floors, none of the trash can foot pedals worked, the ceiling lights in the bedroom were operated by switches downstairs (it was comical). And if you lodge a concern, good luck because the owner will be dismissive, attack you, tell you to leave (without a refund), lie to booking.com, blame you for the conditions, and claim "he knows your type" only wanting a refund. The guy is a caricature of a grotesque host. Sure, we wanted a refund, but just for the nights we would not use. He refused and then ghosted us. We booked through booking.com and they were very...
