Montempô Strasbourg Gare - Appart hôtel — Hotel in Strasbourg

I am extremely disappointed by my experience with this property. I had booked multiple rooms for a delegation of 20 young people from my NGO to attend the European Youth Event (EYE) in Strasbourg from 12th to 15th June 2025, which is a major international gathering with thousands of participants.

Despite confirming the booking well in advance, the hotel suddenly cancelled our reservation a month and a half before the stay, citing that the credit card name didn’t match the names of the guests. This is not a valid reason, especially since we had already provided the names of the 10 people responsible for the rooms, which was clearly sufficient.

What’s worse, the hotel made no attempt to contact us for clarification or resolution. Instead, they cancelled everything unilaterally, leaving us in serious financial and logistical trouble, especially as finding alternative accommodation for a large group during such a major event week is nearly impossible.

This level of unprofessionalism and lack of communication is absolutely inexcusable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone planning group travel or relying on...

The good: *The location was convenient, *The room was clean and had everything we needed, including an equipped kitchenette. *The bathroom was surprisingly big. *There was also a lavanderie downstairs, with an iron and washing machine. Very convenient! *The price is relatively inexpensive, at least for two people *Private bike parking, accessible with a hotel-card

The not so good: *The room itself is a little bit small for two people, *I would suggest placing a coat rack on the wall in the entrance, to avoid having to leave jackets and bags on the floor/bed/table. *It wouldbe more convenient if the room card directly opened the bike-parking, instead of having to get a separate card.

Mid place for staying in Strasbourg. The hotel gives you what you need, no more, no less. You are kinda closed to the city center with the buses, we decided to go on foot (~30 mins). Sadly, service was awful. They don't speak good English, and it was hard to communicate. The price for the room is way too high, considering the quality of the beds and the space. Also, they have an air flowing system that is extremely noisy in the night and it just can't be turned off.
