First the location is amazing. Get off at the train station and you don’t have to lug your suitcase around cobblestone streets. Plus, everything in town is either walkable or accessible from transit right outside. Second, the rooms are awesome. I got a basic room, but it was spacious and well decorated, not cold and bare like many hotels these days. But I really want to highlight the commitment to sustainability. I didn’t realize before booking and it was such a nice surprise. They use natural fiber fabrics, and even the towels are rainforest certified, which is awesome. They provide a reusable bottle for you to use, and don’t use harsh chemicals to clean.

Apart from the room, the rest of the hotel is lovely. I could stay here all day and not be unhappy. The staff are amazing. Very friendly, speak English, and are always helpful. The food is super as well. Breakfast had a huge assortment of foods, mostly organic. I really wanted to eat all 20 breads and desserts they put out, but it was impossible. Quiche was also really good. I love the birds in the dining room too, it made me happy to see them when I missed my own animals at home. The public spaces are very comfortable, and it’s a good place for relaxing if you don’t want to be in your room. The dinner/snack food is also good and affordable!

I stayed here for four nights and I wish I could find an exact copy in the next...

I spent a weekend at this lovely hotel with my friends, the room and atmosphere was lovely. They gave us a big room, as we told them that we will be coming with a cat on board with a note that we would not need housekeeping, they took our wish into consideration. When we come back from the town visit, our cat was very relax and comfy. The room was modern decorated and very comfy, as for the location it is close to train station and took around 10 mins walking to the center of the city

The staff was amazing!!! From front desk to service at breakfast and bar. Jay-Jay from breakfast was really standing out for his performance and kindness. He greets us with a bright smile when he sees us and his vibes was amazing, that makes you feel welcome and appreciate.

On our last day we wanted to join for breakfast at the hotel but as we were coming down it was a bit late but he let us in anyway, I was worried that we might slow their work-flow down for being late, but he was so kind and let me know that I can take my time and enjoy. Their breakfast was amazing from coffee to bake goods and eggs. I enjoyed every bite :D

When travel to another country (especially when you dont really speak their language) I really appreciate to see the kindness in other people. Thank you a lot for making my trip remarkable, I will definately come back to...

Fantastic hotel. We booked Hotel Tandum based on other reviews and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is perfectly located, walking distance to all of the attractions in Strasbourg. We felt very safe in the area, unlike other hotels near train stations in Europe. We had a vehicle and parking was easy and a discount is offered to hotel guests for a parkade nearby. The hotel is very clean and current, the rooms are comfortable with all the necessary amenities. A big highlight is the water refill station on the main floor and reusable glass water bottle for the room. Breakfast is stunning. We were kept company with two rescue birds that happily chirp away - nice touch :) We didn’t have time to take advantage of the bikes to rent but that’s also a great amenity in such a bike-worthy city. Saving the best for last- the service. Wow! Every single person working in Hotel Tandum were so incredibly friendly! From check in, to cleaning service to breakfast, we were truly impressed by how professional everyone was. It really felt like they enjoyed working at the hotel and there was pride in what they were...

The modern decor and Grown Alchemist soaps work as a distraction from what is a very average hotel. I cannot refute that the hotel is well-located if one is travelling by train, as it is situated directly across from Strasbourg train station. The modern decor and the nice-smelling soaps do make for a lovely experience but look closer and you will find: - dust covering the writing desk and everything that is on it - paper cups in the bathroom that you can’t be sure if they’ve been replaced between guests (because they definitely don’t replace the pretzels, in my experience) - thoughtless bathroom set-up where there lacks space, in a standing position, for guests to lay out much more than a toothbrush, toothpaste and razor ie no space to lay out a few cosmetics - bedside tables that are too low relative to the power socket directly above it - poor house-keeping practice as I found underwear left from a previous guest on the floor, that remained there throughout my stay (evidence that the rooms aren’t vacuumed between guests)

Lovely boutique hotel - Will recommend friends to stay there. Pros: convenient location, clean and chic modern style room, game room, spacious bathroom, and good service. I asked for towels at midnight and they came to my rescue in no time :) Cons: Unfortunately, some of the towels had stains or human hairs on them. When I requested replacements, half of the new ones also had the same issues. I hope the hotel can resolve this problem before my future visit. Additionally, if you want to borrow a bike from the hotel, there is a $9 charge for bike rental per day…I wish I had known that in advance before arrival. The most annoying thing is : My room was at the 5th floor, it has a weird motor noise that goes on and off during the nights of my stay. The noise was not loud, but noticeable and a bit disturbing if you are a light sleeper. Overall, good hotel for us. We enjoyed our stay despite a few minor things mentioned above…
