Hôtel du Palais — Hotel in Thonon-les-Bains

POSITIVES||Location! Couldn't ask for better. It was brilliant. The picture with this review shows the street where the hotel is. You can see Hotel du Palais's sign in Blue.||Staff were very friendly and aimed to please at every interaction.||Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Yes they are dated and a bit tired in places but this is a budget hotel and the price for the rooms reflects this.||Parking easy to access from the hotel and very secure.||If returning to Evian - I would 100% stay here again!||NEGATIVES||Check in is not until 3pm which we understand but we went to drop our bags off at 1.30pm and found that reception was closed until 3pm. We also had to park our car up at an alternative car park until 3pm so had to pay their fee plus the hotels 11 euro daily fee once we checked in.||WiFi in the room was very patchy but we were at the end of the hallway. The manager became aware of this the day we checked out and seemed keen to...
