Hôtel Le Bourgogne — Hotel in Thonon-les-Bains

We have booked 2 rooms in March for the Amundi Evian Championship and received the confirmation by e mail.||||When we have called the réceptionnist to warn of our late arrival, he has answered that they have only one room and not two and that our friends haven’t even to come to the hotel.||||We were stomached…of this answer||||On our arrival…The receptionnist hasn’t even check our written confirmation and insist on the point that our Friends haven’t room and that’s it.||||After screaming on us during 20 minutes he finally checked and we have had our room…||||I have asked the manager to call us back but he never did…||||Never had such a bad welcoming after driving 5 hours and no excuse at all||||No wifi...

Stayed 4 nights here in June 2024. I was with my father who cannot walk well. The hotel is well located close to city center, restaurants shops and bars on route nationale. The rooms are clean and pretty specious. But there is a serious issue with service professionalism and bad attitude of blaming the customer when things go wrong. I was also shocked that when my father asked for a glass of water to take his médecine he was told literally that it’s expensive and suggested to go buy a bottle elsewhere. Not the hotel fault - but the fire alarm went off 2 nights in a row past midnight. But instead of handling things professionally the manager was cursing about the customer who set it off by smoking...
