We stayed in this guesthouse for 3 nights. The room was clean but quite small... with two beds in the room it was hard to manoeuvre around. We did have a balcony though, which was nice. Bathroom was clean, no bad smells like other reviewers mentioned. The only negative points for us:||||1) no English spoken in this guesthouse, impossible to ask any questions about tourist information, what time the breakfast is, etc.||||2) Breakfast is only at 8AM, which for us was too late as we wanted to go out early each day to hike or visit other places (Ushguli taxi leaves at 8AM in front of tourist information center for instance). We only had breakfast once, and it was indeed very basic (as another reviewer confirms).||||I'm sure the lady owning the guesthouse is very friendly, just too bad that almost no communication was possible and that we hardly had...

Hotel VillaMestia is in a great location in the town of Mestia. The owner and staff are welcoming and friendly. Mestia is a rural location in the Svaneti National Park. It is an ideal location for hillwalking in the area and for visiting Ushguli. Mananana who runs the hotel organizing for a driver to bring us to Ushguli and later to drive us to Batumi. Rooms are clean and is old style farmhouse accommodation. Breakfast and dinner were included in price and were all local produce. The appeal of Hotel Villamestia is the warmth and friendly staff. I really enjoyed my stay and to Mananana thank you for all your help. I will look forward to a return visit to...
