RESTAURANT SETI MESTIA — Restaurant in Mestia

Our experience in the Café SETI restaurant was dreadful, as Gordon may have said. To start off, the waiters kept confusing orders and asking again to ensure that they had taken them properly. Also, the staff didn't get along very well and it was quite evident. Now for the food. The fries with onions that we ordered were raw (both of the ingredients) and even after telling them that, our "new" batch was still raw, just darker and saltier. The lobiani, basically a bean pie, was doughy (plus, they were stingy with the beans). The chicken soup was COMPLETELY bland; just water, potatoes, peppers and literally three chunks of chicken. We had to add salt from Svaneti (a special, spiced salt from a region of Georgia) to make it even slightly resemble a soup. The gebjalia (not sure how it's written in English, so here it is in Georgian: გებჟალია) was freezing cold and bitter. The whole experience felt like an episode of kitchen nightmares. DO NOT GO THERE! Within 1.5 hours, they could not bring us food. After waiting for 1.5 hours, fries were brought to our table, which we did not order, but the table next to us ordered, 1 hour ago. 1h you put the fries in the deep fryer??? There was no light in the men's toilet, and there was no mirror in the women's toilet. The toilet pot was relatively high on the women's side, it was difficult for a 150 cm tall woman to do things. There was a long streak of blood running down the toilet wall. ROUGH! They forgot the cappuccino from our order for two people. We went there around 13:00, and besides us there was only one other table. They have created a terrace that limits the view of the mountains. Very horrible and bad experience, never going there again. Go and wait for a table next door at Laila and you will get good service and...

Awful. The food is mediocre at best. But we waited for 30 minutes for the lemonade to arrive even after we told them! 20 minutes later most of the food arrived but for the last dish for the poor person that ordered it it took so long that we went shopping a fair distance from the restaurant, return and it only just arrived. In addition, the dishes aren't the kind that take a long time to make and it tasted like it was only reheated. Don't fall for this...
