Taberene Hotel proved to be a mixed experience, blending a great location, spacious rooms, and beautiful decor with a few areas that warrant attention.
📍 Great Location and Spacious Rooms: The hotel's prime location and expansive rooms were undeniably amazing, offering a comfortable base for exploration.
🎨 Stunning Decor: The hotel's aesthetic brilliance in decoration added an extra layer of charm to the overall ambiance.
👫 Attentive Staff, but areas for Improvement: While the staff demonstrated attentiveness and helpfulness, a bit more warmth in the form of smiles and a welcoming atmosphere would have elevated the guest experience.
🍳 Limited Breakfast Options: The breakfast options, unfortunately, fell short for someone with discerning tastes. Limited choices left me opting for bread, butter, and jam daily. Additionally, the quality of coffee could use improvement.
🎶 Noise Concern During Breakfast: An incident involving loud morning music disrupted the serene atmosphere during breakfast. Despite notifying the staff in the restaurant , the issue persisted, requiring assistance from the reception. On January 2nd, there was a pianist during breakfast which provided very beautiful vibes that made us enjoy our time with her music and smiles.
👧 Unpleasant Encounter with Staff: Regrettably, one unnamed staff member who did not wear her name tag, identifiable by thick black hair and a large hair clip, displayed an immature and unprofessional attitude towards us (ignoring, staring fiercely with side talks) especially when requested to put the music down a little during breakfast or change it to softer-relaxing time and meal- appropriate. Her attitude affected the overall impression of the staff and hotel.
💡 Recommendation for Improvement: The hotel management could consider investing in enhancing their employees' personal and professional skills to ensure consistently positive interactions with international guests.
👍 In Conclusion: Despite these minor incidents, I would still recommend Taberene Hotel for its comfortable accommodations and prime location. A comfortable stay with the potential for an even better guest...
Read moreThe hotel has a clean, nicely decorated vibe with pleasant aesthetics. Housekeeping did a good job keeping our room tidy. The included breakfast was decent nothing over the top. We appreciated the small in-room tea and coffee setup. Bathroom had the basics like shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Restaurant staff was genuinely kind and attentive. Location is good, there’s a nearby street with bars and cafes that’s great for a casual evening out.
However, the room with a balcony was tiny, especially the bathroom, which felt cramped. Unfortunately, the AC didn’t work at all during our stay. We let the front desk know, but nothing was done, which made for some very uncomfortable nights. Beds were not comfortable, pillows were way too hard, and no alternatives were provided even after we asked. Apparently, they only have one iron and ironing board for the entire hotel… and it was never available when we needed it. Finally, reception staff seemed cold and unapproachable. Every interaction felt like we were an inconvenience. They did help a couple of times, but it felt forced.
We have stayed in many boutique hotels and this one falls at the bottom of our list. It was a very basic boutique stay; served the purpose for our short trip since we were out and about most of the time. That said, between the AC issues, uncomfortable bedding, and unfriendly front desk, we wouldn’t stay here again. Wouldn’t go out of our way to recommend it either, there are likely better options...
Read moreGreat location for upscale restaurants and to get a feel of the lovely city. Breakfast was below average not many options and the service staff could have been more polite. Reception area lobby as well as the coffee shop are very beautifully decorated, and the ambience is cozy yet quite nice. Room size and space provided slightly better than the other properties of similar rate in this location. Bathroom as well as the products were decent. There was a guy to provide service for luggage pick up up and back into the taxi, but he did not move to help.. I found the hotel quite newly done up and fresh with very good spots around it to hang out. If you’re staying here and just getting some nights rest, it’s perfect for a couple or business travel. However, you’re expecting good communication from Staff. I don’t think this is the place. For Tourists they could be more informative and friendly, which was majorly lacking and at the breakfast table, one of the ladies servicing was almost rude regarding putting out coffee or even bread for toasting from the very few options they gave for breakfast. It can be considered as a decent value for money if you’re there for 2 to 3...
