I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a satisfactory experience for a three-star establishment. One of the highlights of this hotel is its excellent location near a beautiful park, providing guests with plenty of attractions to explore. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the city center, just under 8 bus stops away, allows for convenient and affordable transportation options. The breakfast provided at this hotel was definitely a great value, offering a variety of breads, egg-based dishes, and muesli, among other options. It was a pleasant and satisfying start to the day. However, there were a few aspects of the hotel that left something to be desired. Firstly, the hotel's facade appeared somewhat plain and unimpressive. Although not a major concern, it did not create a particularly welcoming or visually appealing first impression. The cleanliness of my room was commendable, but I did notice some rust in the bathroom, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, there was a slight unpleasant odor in the room that could have been addressed to ensure a more comfortable stay. Furthermore, the sound insulation was not ideal, as I could occasionally hear the sound of chairs being moved on the mosaic floor from the room above, which could be slightly bothersome to some guests. Lastly, the elevator in the hotel was quite small, and for those who are claustrophobic, it might be a triggering experience. It is worth noting this aspect for individuals who may have concerns regarding confined spaces.

A good hotel and enjoyable stay overall. Check in was easy, the staff were approachable and they were happy to speak English. The hotel is in an excellent location, only a 10 minute walk from the underground and central bus station in Berlin city centre. The room was serviced and cleaned each morning and fresh towels were provided. The rooms were good in size and bright, however nothing over complex or luxury. If you are looking for a clean and comfortable room to sleep in after a day of sightseeing, it is ideal. The room came with a kitchenette but you were not provided with cutlery, pans, plates etc. The shower was of good standard with plenty of hot water and the room had a fridge/freezer. The room stated it came with a safe, however it was more of a locked cupboard which was not secure. The bed and breakfast was sufficient, however the menu was the same each morning and it got a bit repetitive after a few days. Wi-Fi signal was pretty much non existent in the room which was on the ground floor. I enjoyed this stay and it was good for the price. If you simply want to stay in a comfortable and clean room, I would recommend.

Three stars cause three star hotel. It was close to sightseeing and Berlin Mitte, the zoo. Construction going on right now so pretty loud in the morning. Quiet at night. There is breakfast, a lounge etc. The price is quit a lot. Room is very simple and it’s clean and ok if you just need a place to stay. A little short on staff so if you need cleaning, supplies just ask front desk: the stuff is really helpful at front office. Check in and out via person or machine depends when you are going and coming. Come with no expectations than it’s your place to stay. Big plus for the paid parking on the street and the garage next to it. The garage is cash paying only and reaching straight from the hotel. Very narrow drive in and out. A little old and dark inside but ok. I think not for SUVs.

Never again. My girlfriend and I stayed at Lutzow Hotel at the end of July. Here the story begins.. at arrival we saw a signboard at entrance stating that “no service room was available during summer due to short staff but you can ask reception for clean towels”.. which already looked bad during high season, also because this is not an hostel but a three star hotel with prices over 100 euros per night.. at arrival they asked to pay in advance, which is apparentlya common use nowadays, make sure to always ask to see the room first, we didn’t and that was a mistake. The rooms are small, but with modern design which apparently looked nice. One of the biggest problem was that there is no air conditioning, which is stated on their website(we are in 2022… how is that even possible to give three stars to a hotel with no air con?) but being end of July with 34/36 degrees outside, made the room very uncomfortable and extremely hot. The mattress was minimum 30 years old and extremely extremely uncomfortable, which is the main problem here, with one side attached to the wall. During first night I woke up completely sweaty, with a bad backache due to a terrible mattress, I woke up and lied on the floor as it seemed more comfortable. After a night like it, in the morning we explained the situation at the reception, and they also asked me if it was hot.. so that means the had previous problems with that.. and we asked for a bigger room change, but they said they were fully booked for bigger rooms and they could give me another room same as mine or one with a bunk bed which we refused, we ended up agreeing on a side foldable bed which was added to our room, which is no acceptable when you pay nearly 500 euros per 4 nights, but I ended up accepting as I wanted to try sleeping better.(I also wasn’t offered a fan to solve the problem of warmth) Second night was no better, I woke up many times sleeping on the side bed, with backache and I was in pain. The morning after we went down to reception, stated again the problem and told them we were leaving and checking out, as after a year of work and with only 10 days holiday, I needed some sleep and I needed to rest. They told me that refund was not available but we didn’t care, we just wanted to run away as fast as possible. We left and we went to Premier Inn which is round the corner, and which I recommend, they have much more comfortable rooms at the same price. Don’t get scammed by this hotel, it’s like a hostel with prices of a 3/4 stars hotel. Not acceptable when paying 100 euros and more...

During a nearly two-week trek throughout Germany in May/June 2024, my son and I stayed at Hotel Luetzow in Berlin for 2 nights. While planning our Berlin portion of the trip, I was looking for an affordable hotel that was central (walking distance to Tiergarten or the Brandenburg Gate) and a hotel that offered parking close by. This hotel continued to pop-up on searches, so I decided to go with my first find… and I am very happy that I did. This hotel was wonderful! There is parking garage at the hotel and the major sights are within walking distance. The parking garage is accessible via the hotel lobby. Upon check-in, the staff member was very friendly and informative. Our room, which was a Twin Room/Bunk Bed and a third bed pulling out from the bottom bed. The room was clean and very well maintained. While there was space to place some luggage, the room could use a few more hooks/hangers for bags or cloths. Clean towels were provided as was shampoo & body wash. While there was no air-conditioning in the room, the windows full opened and the room was provided with a small fan. A complimentary bottle of spritzer water was provided (not “still water” as is more common in North America). Just outside of the hotel, there were always e-scooters to be found for renting from a third-party company (via an app) which provide a great means to get to sights. During the morning, there was plenty of hot water and water pressure. With a police station on the same street and many upscale businesses nearby, the neighbourhood was very safe. There is not much in terms of food in the immediate area (a food market is about 5 minutes walk away) so I would recommend paying the few extra Euros and take advantage of the breakfast onsite. If I had to say something wrong about the hotel, it would be that the grounds at the rear of the building need to be maintained or cleaned up. Based on past photos from other guest, the grounds have been left unmanaged, but I am not sure if this is the hotel issue or more of a problem with the parking garage owners. Either way, it did not look good when looking out the window. However, this did not impact our stay and I would certainly return to Hotel Lützow again without hesitation. The price was great, the location was excellent, and the...

I made two reservations at this hotel by accident for the same days and did not realise this until I checked in. My intention was to make only one reservation. The individual at reception only gave me the key to one room when I checked in. The way the hotel handled this situation was not professional, in my opinion. The person at the front desk told me to speak to the manager the next morning in person about whether the hotel could give a refund for the other room that was booked by accident. When I went the next morning the front desk person said the manager was actually not there and would not be coming to the hotel that day or other days. So they said to email the manager instead. I did. The manager got back to me via email after a one-day delay and said they could not give me any type of refund, as per the booking policy. I sent a reply message to explain what had happened and requested an exception or at least a partial refund, and the manager never emailed me back, they did not call me, and no one came to speak with me. Essentially, the manager ghosted me. Given that I was staying at their hotel at the time and had stayed at their hotel in the past, I think I was at least owed the professional courtesy of communication rather than ghosting - even if they decided they could not make an exception to the booking/refund policy. The hotel is fine, and I would have preferred to stay here as I go to Berlin every so often. But given that the manager did not communicate with me professionally in this situation, I will be staying elsewhere in the future. I cannot recommend this hotel to others if you want professional service. There are other good hotels in the area whose employees have better customer...
