H+ Hotel Lübeck — Hotel in Lübeck

We stayed only one night to visit the wonderful Lübeck. Hotel is located maybe 50 meters from the main train station, but the neighborhood is safe and - to a certain extent - quiet (just keep in mind that it is still the main train station!). The building is wonderful, is an old Handelshof renewed but the old soul is kept. We had a nice and clean room Dachgeschoss room at the 4 floor, beds were super-comfy and the bathroom was gigantic.|The staff at the reception was super nice and super helpful, first they helped us in storing the luggage (we came well before check-in time) and, even if not needed nor expected, they apologized that the room was not yet ready (but, again, we were well ahead of check-in time). Then they gave us plenty of info on Lübeck, where to go, what to do, and even what to visit once leaving Lübeck on our way back home.|Downtown is within walking distance, the Holstentor is 10 minutes away from the hotel.|Did not have breakfast, so cannot tell anything about that.|Rating the hotel 4 out of 5 only because they do not have an own parking place, but they explained us all the possible alternatives, and honestly, there are plenty some meters away from the hotel itself.|Overall, really nice hotel and would...

Wir waren jetzt zweimal wg. einer IHK Prüfung (3 min Fussweg zur IHK Lübeck direkt am Bahnhof) je zwei Nächte vor Ort. Einmal Di - Do. und einmal Mi. - Fr. Mit jeweils einem Gutschein sehr günstig über ein Portal. Terminauswahl sehr einfach und vor dem Gutscheinkauf möglich, zu den gewünschten Reiseterminen die Verfügbarkeit vor Kauf gecheckt. Und nach dem Gutscheinkauf dann sofort damit den Zeitraum im Hotel reserviert für das Zimmer für zwei Personen inkl. Frühstück.

Bei CheckIn dann kostenfrei ein Zimmerupgrade vom Hotel angeboten bekommen, vielleicht weil sie noch nicht so stark ausgelastet waren. Größeres Zimmer und Bett als gebucht. Die kostenfreien Parkplätze hinter dem Hotel sind zahlreich vorhanden und mit einem Zettel in der Windschutzscheibe einfach zu kennzeichnen.

Weil nur mein Partner zur Prüfung musste und am Frühstück (ab 6 Uhr) nicht teilnehmen wollte hatten wir nach einen LunchPaket für ihn gefragt. Und dieses für den ersten Tag vorbestellt für eine vereinbarte Zeit. Am Morgen war dieses leider nicht pünktlich fertig. Es bestand aus Obst, stillem Wasser, Müsliriegel, Butterbrezel, Knäckebrot und war reichlich gefüllt.

Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig es gibt es große Auswahl von Kaffee, Müsli, Kornflakes, frisches Obst, verschiedene Brot und Brötchen, Aufschnitt und Aufstriche. Rührei, Bacon, mini Würstchen und mini Frikadellen. Für die süßen Frühstücker dann Pancakes mit Apfelmus und Schokobrötchen, Honig, Marmeladen usw. usw.

Die Lage direkt am Bahnhof hat sehr viele Vorteile (Restaurants, Supermarkt und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten), aber durch den Bahnhofsvorplatz und den naheliegendem Busbahnhof auch die ganze Nacht voll ausgeleuchtet, sowie stärke Lärmbelästigung durch die Busse früh morgens und spät abends. Die Zimmer nach hinten raus sind wohl kleiner und wurden von uns nicht getestet.

Klimaanlage im Zimmer vorhanden. Bedienung nicht ganz eindeutig, aber durch testen klappte die Kühlung dann.

Badezimmer schön groß, viel Platz beim Duschen und auf Toilette fühlt man sich nicht eingeengt. Ablagemöglichkeiten vorhanden.

Das einzige was wir vermisst haben im Zimmer war ein Kühlschrank. Vor der zweiten Anreise hatten wir uns extra auf der Hotelwebsite erkundigt und da steht das es in einer bestimmten Zimmerkategorie Kühlschranke gibt. Beim CheckIn dann aber leider die Info das kein Zimmer einen Kühlschrank hat.

Es gibt einen klimatisierten Fitnessbereich (Laufband, Stepper) und eine Sauna mit Umkleide in der 5 Etage.

Ein CheckOut bis 12 Uhr ist schon sehr großzügig, aber da die Prüfungen bis ca. 12:30 Uhr am Abreisetag jeweils angesetzt waren fragten wir jeweils nach einem Late CheckOut bis 13 Uhr. Die eine Stunde haben wir jeweils kostenfrei dazubekommen.

Der Service ist wirklich wunderbar und rundete den tollen Gesamteindruck ab. Das Housekeepingteam ist etwas voreilig und klopft nach dem Türöffnen und auch mehrfach am Abreisetag. Da ich aus dem Hotelzimmer gearbeitet habe aber nur aufgefallen. Sonst sind wir eigentlich selten tagsüber im Zimmer anzutreffen.

Sited in sight of Lübeck's train and bus station (the HBf and ZOB), this place wins for convenience should you be coming in from Hamburg or further afield. With a taxi rank outside, you can also easily get places within the city if buses aren't your thing. The rooms, while comfortable and air conditioned, are what we'll call compact, and the lack of free coffee or water (two bottles for a three day stay) might be off putting to some. Outside the rooms, the H+ has a sauna/fitness room on the 5th floor, which is simple but enough for keeping you busy. The Breakfast is a filling buffet of the usual items you'd expect (cereal, bread, pastries, hot and cold meats, etc) with a decent bar and good beer selection (Jever and White Beer on draught). It also offers a small snack menu of pizza and the like, however you're close enough to central Lübeck to see what's on offer there. All in all, it delivers what's needed for a stay in the gorgeous...
