Monsieur Didot — Hotel in Athens

Athens will only associate with Monsieur Didot for us from now on! I truly believe that if we would stay anywhere else during our visit it would not be the same!

This boutique hotel with its beautiful decor and the most amazing, welcome stuff made us feel at home. We stayed in all the rooms there but 1. Each room was perfectly designed, exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated.

Complimentary breakfast in the mornings was such a nice touch, again made me feel like I was at home eating homemade breakfast.

My daughter was turning 3 when we arrived, I asked the stuff to please decorate our suite for us and order a chocolate cake…and when we walked into the room we all were so happy 😃 Our suite was decorated beautifully, with the most delicious cake. My daughter was happy:)

Yanis one of the front desk managers made us feel so at home. He is truly the heart of this amazing place! We were able to get the best restaurant recommendations, taxi arrangements, laundry help, tour guide arrangements. Keep in mind it was 6 of us and everyone was so happy!

When we visit Athens, we will only stay in Monsieur Didot!

Oh and location is great! Beautiful, safe and clean. Minutes away from all the central attractions and...

Choosing accommodation while traveling can be super stressful. There are so many options to chose from on booking.com that I usually get super overwhelmed.

Since it’s my first time in Athens, I really wanted to feel cozy, at home in the hotel. I ended up choosing a new hotel in Kolonaki (a little bit away from the touristy areas).

I have fallen in love with this place! The room we stayed in is called The Anthem. 📣

You can probably guess what my favorite part of the room is- the plants! 🪴🍃🌱

There is a zz plant in the bathroom that is GROWING and just gives me so much joy every time I see it.

🍳The breakfast comes on the CUTEST home-made platter ever. If you pop downstairs to the main entrance, you’ll find the hosts cracking eggs and baking the bread themselves!

🚿The shower is TO DIE FOR. Boiling hot water in a huge shower head. Yes. Yes. Yes.

☹️ The only downside is the noise at night. We can hear every single creak, laugh and car down on the street. Sleeping was a bit tough but the beds are super comfortable.

Nothing has been forgotten when it comes to guest comfort and experience. Generous sized rooms and bathrooms beautifully appointed with an eccelctix mix of furniture and decor made us feel like we were in a home not a hotel. There are private spaces to stretch, relax or enjoy time with others. This hotel offers nothing of a typical downtown small and pokie Athens hotel.
