My husband and I went to this shop. It was such a bad experience that I would never go there again neither appreciated the service that they give. We went there so I could get for my passport cover a stemp. I received this as a gift from my husband so wherever we travel and there is an LV store we would get a stemp. So we went to the store, the first staff after we told him why we came, the answer was: we are very busy today, will take up to 10-20 minutes wait here. So my experience coming from Austria having the service and knowing how they work there it’s such a completely different acting of how to talk to customers. Why you would have to wait in Vienna in the the Lv store, they would ask for your name, tell you please to look around the store while waiting and a staff will come and find you. So you should look up to how to talk to customers. Then a staff came, I’m asking the staff the question, how many stemps is it possible to get in one line. The answer of the staff: well I don’t know. So I’m looking up and I’m like well who does it know then? Still no answer. And giving like this attitude, the question is ridiculous and up till now I still didn’t received the answer. So recommend you: tell the customer I’ll ask a colleague will come back to you with the answer? No that was not included. So I’m saying where to put the stemp. The staff came back and I’m looking in my cover, the stemp so much smaller then I taught it would be, because the staff couldn’t inform me about that either, to show me how that one in Athen looks like so I could make a mind about it, no the staff did it on the left corner, just random, left like 1 cm to the end of the cover like it is a nightmare. I looked up to the staff I was like, but wait that one is so much smaller? No answer. So I got so upset, so pissed of, that I would never ever recommend you that service and these staff there.
Such a bad experience, staff they think they are so much better than anyone, looking up to customers like they are not in their league. Getting pissed of and talking to you ridiculously un respectfully because a stemp on the cover isn’t so important as a customer who might buy a bag.
Is this how you deal with customers? Is this the service LV wants that you give the customers?
There was this staff by the entrance, so unfriendly, anyway a customer came Down by the stairs with his sliders and boxers, so he was looking at him from the top till the bottom, like how could the customer come in like this?
I’m so disgusted in this experience, so disappointed, and wish one of your manager will see this comment and talk to you and Cauch you, what it means to give customers an experience in a positive way they will...
Read moreIf you're considering shopping at the Louis Vuitton (LV) store in Athens, there are a couple of things you should keep in mind to ensure a positive experience. From my visit, here are two key takeaways:
Be aware of potential discriminatory behavior
I noticed that while other high-end boutiques on Voukourestiou Street had polite and friendly staff, the LV store seemed to have a different approach. During my visit, my wife and I were one of the only two couples in the store, yet there were 6 staff members, excluding a woman who managed the queue at the entrance. Despite this, we waited for almost 40 minutes without being acknowledged. However, the attitude of the lady serving us changed dramatically when she noticed that my wife and I held a passport from one of the most powerful countries in the world. I found this behavior to be shallow and superficial.
Sadly, it wasn't just us. I witnessed the staff mistreating other customers, particularly those of Asian descent, non-English speaking, or dressed in casual clothing. While it's disappointing, it's important to note that this behavior is not unique to the LV store in Athens.
To avoid such experiences, it's advisable to dress well and speak confidently. If you have concerns, it's worth considering alternative high-end boutiques on Voukourestiou Street, but if you would like to skip the queue and have their attention at the quickest, try to dress like someone from the Bling Empire.
Beware of credit card fraud
My wife and I used a specific card for our purchase only at the LV store, and unfortunately, the card was later misused. The bank notified us about suspicious activity and helped us resolve the issue, but it was still concerning. It is very likely that the staff in the store may have taken pictures of our card or used a duplicate card device, as the payment was not made in front of us. A video on YouTube shows that this is not an uncommon practice, even among high-end boutiques and fast-food chains like McDonald's.
To minimize the risk of credit card fraud, it's best to use mobile payment options like Apply Pay, Samsung Pay or Google Pay with your Credit Card in it. Alternatively, ensure that the payment is made within your reach where you can observe the transaction.
While the LV store in Athens may not provide the best shopping experience, keeping these in mind beforehand can help to ensure a more pleasant and...
Read moreWARNING!!! THIS STORE SCAMS IT'S CUSTOMERS! One in particular scammed me on August 09, 2022.
I went to Greece for my wedding and purchased a bag here, when I got home I realized that it would be too small for my practical use; so a week after the purchase date (also the day I was flying back to NYC) I went to return the bag.
I was greeted by a woman with shoulder-length dark hair and explained to her I wanted to return the item for a refund. She then said, ok what bag do you want instead of this bag - I then explained to her again that I did not want an exchange, I solely wanted a refund. She came back to me and said that they DO NOT do refunds at the store, at this point I was annoyed and confused. This was a stand-alone LV store and after shopping in NYC I knew they had a 30-day return for refund policy and assumed this was the worldwide rule for such a prestigious store. I explained this to the saleswoman and she say I was wrong stating "Miss you are in a different country with different rules". She then offered me a gift card for store credit for sole use in the LV store in Greece, which would only be valid for a year.
.... Again, not an option for me as I live in NYC! I repeated to her that the refund and gift card were not an option for me and that I needed her to call a manager to assist me. She then called on her cell phone and wouldn't let me speak to her manager and simply stated her boss would not make an exception to the return policy.
I was turned away after almost 25 mins of insisting they were incorrect. I reach out to LV and they confirmed the policy which I previous stated!
DON'T TRUST THIS STORE!
I was there upset and multiple staff members stared at me and let me be misled and lied to!!! I would've never expected this treatment after spending over 1K at a store...
