I heard about “Urban Nest” from a friend and he highly recommended it for me.
Since the beginning, the communication with Urban Nest was great, they replied emails immediately and everything was very smooth. Also, because I needed a room for 10 nights, I didn’t know if I want to order the Suite, or the Executive Suite, so they allowed me to choose whatever I want upon arrival, after they will show me the 2 options.
It’s a boutique hotel, small building, 4 or 5 floors and each floor have 3 or maybe 4 rooms. If you’re looking for quite and privacy like I did - this is the perfect place.
The location is great. I didn’t even know how great it is before I got there. It’s a minute walk from Monastiraki square, Ermou st (shopping) and all the best that you can ask for: bars, restaurants, metro station, shopping, pharmacy, grocery - everything is there.
The hotel service is great with a great personal assistance, I felt very comfortable and felt like home. They just helped me with everything I needed and answered all my questions (trust me - I had a lot). There were few days that I had to leave very early in the morning, so I couldn’t stay for breakfast - the staff were so nice and prepared me a box on the day before, with a sandwich, fruit, cookies and juice, so I’ll take it with me and won’t be hungry - This was very appreciated and saved my day!
The room was awesome. actually, It’s not a room it’s a suite, well, it’s an apartment! I had full kitchen (fridge, stove top, oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, sink etc), Living room with sofa, coffee table, TV. Big dinning table which was great for me for study and work for many hours (free wifi), big bedroom and bathroom, and everything is brand new.
Everyday I received a breakfast menu to my room, so I could order what I wanted for the following day, very nice and comfortable feature.
So like my friend recommended Urban Nest for me, I highly recommending this hotel for anyone...
Read moreDuring our two-week stay, we experienced the warm embrace of Greek hospitality from the moment we arrived. The executive suite, overlooking a lively street, lived up to the description on the hotel's homepage. The room was not only spacious and spotless but also featured a modern kitchen, modern décor, and crisp bed sheets. . The daily cleaning routine ensured the room's impeccable condition, meeting all our expectations and needs. The comfortable furniture added to the overall positive impression. The hotel, once a shoe-making workshop, is situated in the vibrant, gentrified neighborhood of Psyri, which still maintains a village-like atmosphere, providing a pulsating, yet safe environment. . For Athenians, the Psyri area is a popular hub, and for us tourists, it conveniently places us in the heart of the city, surrounded by shopping and historic sites. The neighborhood is brimming with street cafes, eateries, and local handicraft businesses. All major attractions are within walking distance, and the Monstraski metro station is just a 3-minute walk away, offering easy transportation options. The location enhanced the overall convenience of our stay. A grocery store, Masoutis, is also conveniently located 4 minutes away: https://maps.app.goo.gl/yfofkemkLsJM52J47 . One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast offered by the hotel. The daily choice of three well-prepared breakfasts, in English, Greek, or American style, was a delightful surprise. The hotel staff was accommodating and even tailored breakfast to our specific...
Read moreWifi is ok when it works constantly have to login! It is not overly clean as there are these little flies all over the place. It has good size the bedroom with the living and kitchen areas off of it. Surprised there is no wash machine if its an apartment. For being a new building ( less then a year) the bed is really uncomfortable. Air conditioner seems ok but its not hot yet. As for the heat it does not seem to heat. Bathroom is not large or small but it does feel cramped not sure why there is a step into the bathroom. Lighting is not bright at all. Breakfast is ok I believe it’s a mediterranean style, (bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, boiled egg and cereal. With lots of sweets) its good but I would like an actual egg! No need to book directly as they also require you to stay the whole time you planned even when the plans change due to there travel agency. All to do with theres not many people here now! I would not recommend using the tour operator (Go Tours) as they were really bad. There are two others which maybe different but not sure. They cant even drop you at the same place where they picked up at. For the blackout curtains they are not it’s a window shade the light still comes in. They prevent you from sleeping with the window open as they bang against the wall with the breeze! It is ok to stay here but I would not recommend it! There seems to be...
