I rarely leave reviews, but Enastron absolutely deserves the praise. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and full of positive energy — the kind of place that instantly puts you at ease. The staff/service was incredibly welcoming, asking about our stay in Athens and helped with any questions we had. Now the food… wow. Everything we ordered was exceptional. We started with the halloumi cheese, spicy cheese dip with warm pita, and the Greek salad — hands down the freshest, most flavorful salad we’ve had on our trip so far. My husband had the pork gyros and I had the Greek moussaka. I don’t say this lightly — it was life-changing. I’ll be dreaming about it long after we’re back in the States. To top it all off, they brought us complimentary cake for dessert, which was airy, sweet, and the perfect finish to an unforgettable (and incredibly filling!) meal. Enastron is a gem — if you’re in Athens, do yourself a favor and eat here. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your return.

We were walking around at noon time looking for a place to eat. This was a lovely little find in a smaller street away from the touristy area. Friendly owner, palatable dishes, fresh fish. The octopus was yummy although as marked on the menu, it was frozen. The fish was fresh, cooked through and moist. The fetta cheese with pastry, sesame and honey was very good and works as both an appetiser and a dessert. It was a pleasant surprise at the end when he offered us complimentary dessert of semolina cake that was moist and tasty. Our bill, together with bread (1 euro a person) and a Greek coffee (1.80) came to 37.60. Quite affordable for what you get compared to the surrounding area.

My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant in the evening and enjoyed a traditional Greek meal as well as good service. The place wasn't very busy (we were the only ones), although I suspect that COVID-19 might be the culprit here. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Athens. Out of all the Greek restaurants we visited in Athens this one stuck with us the most. We ordered mousakka, grilled eggplant and a classic greek salad and enjoyed all of it. The salad was fresh and the grilled eggplant went nicely with the bread. For dessert we received watermelon and mastika (a slightly sweet Greek liqueur) which was also a nice surprise and a surprisingly complementary combo.

Fully agree on what Jeffrey wrote: very good food and good prices for what you get! Passing the place during one of our tours through this Psirri quarter we were also just greeted with a friendly "hello" by the young waiter trying to attract our attention. After all, our impression is this place is different from the crowd of many other "providers" and one feels more as an actual guest and not just a "money bringer". This was different from the encounters we had on the other side of the road towards the Plaka quarter. Unfortunately, we discovered the restaurant with the pleasant atmosphere only until the penultimate day of our week in Athens. That was our own fault, we overlooked or rather "ignored" the restaurant's business card laying out at the front desk of our hotel "Evripides" because its front is labeled purely in Greek. Not every non-Greek befriends spontaneously with the Greek alphabet, it takes a little time to get oneself adjusted. However, we visited the place three times in two days and have enjoyed the excellent food together in addition with the perfect and unobtrusive service of the staff. According to one person in our group, who is a chef himself running his own restaurant here, he would rate the place as an excellent choice both in quality and service. Unfortunately, we had to fly back to Hamburg yesterday. But one could think of another trip to Athens later - and even if it was just for...

They overcharged us 40% more than they should have by adding to the check so many items we had not ordered. The amount on the check was so high there is no way they could have made a mistake. Extremely dishonest practice probably targeting tourists.

—

Reply to the owner: Of course you acknowledged and corrected it: we cross-checked each item of the bill with the menu… What other choice did you have? We did not keep the ticket but basically all items appeared under the same name (in Greek alphabet). So the only way for tourists to check the bill is by associating one item with its price on the menu (and 1 dish had been counted 3 times). We had never seen this before. We spent 3 amazing weeks in Greece and 2 other restaurants made mistakes. I did not leave any comments on their pages because they were honest mistakes. But I can spot tourist scams miles away and this was one of them. No need to hide behind your 27 years...
