This was a great stay for us and our family. The hotel is conveniently located near many popular sights and eateries in Athens and most were within a 10-20 minute walk. The nearby Monastiraki metro station made it easy to get to and from the airport as well. The rooms are nicely appointed with a couple of chairs, work station, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge and TV. The beds were small but comfy enough. Our family had a 2 and 3 bed rooms and we found the 2 bed room was a lot more spacious. The bathrooms in both were small but we appreciated that the hot water came on quickly and there was a small window for ventilation. Our room was quiet at night but our family noted street noise on the lower floors. The elevators were often tricky to catch as they are small but we appreciated it when we didn't feel like the climb to the sixth floor. The amenities at the hotel were good for the price. The roof top patio and bar area was a highlight and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons up here watching the sun set and the lights turn on at the Acropolis. The prices of the bar were inexpensive and they had a good variety of options. There was a sitting room that had tea and coffee midday and they kept it open in the evening so we were able to sit together and talk. They had laundry service, baggage storage and could help arrange tours or car hires as well at the front desk with their friendly and welcoming staff. The breakfast at this hotel was very good for the price. They had something for everyone and lots of place to sit. Highlights for us were the Greek yoghurt and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries. They also had mini sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, feta cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, breads, baklava, croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruits, juices and a coffee machine. We looked forward to breakfast each morning. The hotel provided a good base for exploring and was centrally located. We would say if you're looking to save money and have a good breakfast to start your day in Athens this hotel is a...

We stayed here three nights before our cruise and 2 nights after. Nice rooms, comfortable beds. From our room with a balcony, you could see the Acropolis off to the side. ||As on cruise ships, you need to pur your key card in the slot to turn on the electriicity. No problem with this except it also shuts off the room air conditionere. The A/C is a wall unit controlled by a remote control. First time I did it right, but on the second time and I ended up going to the front desk to figure it out. The second room we had had a different model of A/C but I was able to figure it out.||Front desk was very helpful. We booked the Hop On Hop Off bus thru the hotel. The nearest stop for the bus was just down the block at Monastiraki Square.||Breakfast was an extra charge, but we felt it was worth it. Unless you really enjoy going to local bakeries, etc. I would get the hotel breakfast.||There were two taxi strikes when we were there, 2 days before and 1 day after. So we couldn't get to the airport by taxi. BUT the Metro stop is maybe 100 yards from the hotel and it goes directly to the airport. The signage in the Metro is very clear Note that the signage to the Metro on the outside is negligible or non-existant. It is where there is an escalator. I recommend taking the Metro from the airport also as it is cheaper and you avoid the sometimes questionable taxi drivers||All the buildings in the area, except the entrance to the hotel, are covered with graffiti. It looks bad but it is not the sign of...

We had a great experience at the Attalos Hotel during our time in Athens. The hotel was spotlessly clean and well-maintained throughout. With a 24-hour reception, we felt safe and well looked after at all times. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and eager to offer advice on sightseeing and transport.||The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Athens, just a short walk to the metro station, and perfectly situated for exploring all the key attractions, including the Acropolis.||Breakfast each morning was lovely, with a good selection of hot and cold options that were continuously refreshed throughout the service. It was a great way to start our day.||Our room was comfortable, tidy, and serviced daily as needed. The room was a little small but accommodated everything we needed including a fridge, kettle with tea and coffee and air conditioning. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and we slept well. The room and hotel in general, felt fresh and well cared for.||A special highlight was the rooftop bar — a peaceful place to unwind in the evenings with reasonably priced drinks (on par with nearby street bars), and an absolutely stunning view of the Acropolis and Parthenon.||Overall, Attalos Hotel offers excellent value, comfort, and location. Highly recommend it for anyone...

My review is well overdue, from our visit at the end of March, but I cannot say enough great things about Attalos Hotel, the fabulous staff, the great food, and ideal location. We stayed here at the recommendation of Matt Barrett’s Greece Travel Guide, and it was perfect! My husband and I stayed here one night before our cruise and one night after our cruise, and we’ll happily stay here again. The location is perfect with everything that you need and want to do at your fingertips. The staff is not only kind and very helpful, but they went above and beyond when my husband’s suitcase was mistakenly taken by another cruise ship passenger on the day we disembarked. The amazing, kind, more experienced gentleman at the front desk helped us out. He encouraged us to go out and enjoy our time in Athens and he made sure the cruise ship remedied their error and had the suitcase delivered to us at Attalos without us missing out on anymore time in Athens. Hands down, he is fabulous and helped to make our vacation great. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast was delicious and well made and the drinks were good. Attalos also has one of the best views in all of Athens from their rooftop bar. We had a fabulous stay and can’t wait to return. Thank you!

The Attalos Hotel in Athens is a good choice for travelers looking for a well-located accommodation. The hotel is conveniently located, only a 5-minute walk from Monastiraki subway station, and surrounded by many restaurants and bars, the area is not the nicest though. The staff is friendly and the hotel is well-maintained, despite not being brand new. During my two-night stay, I had booked two different room types - a double room with a balcony for the first night and a single room for the second night. However, upon check-in, I was given a double room without a balcony. After 15 minutes, the reception noticed the mistake and promptly offered me an upgrade to a double room for the second night, as well as a complimentary drink voucher for the rooftop bar. The room was clean and comfortable, though not particularly spacious. Breakfast was not included, so I can't say anything about it. Overall, the Attalos Hotel offers a pleasant stay with its friendly staff, good location, and well-maintained facilities. However, the room mix-up was a slight inconvenience, but it was quickly resolved to my satisfaction.

We stayed for 4 nights in October. It was centrally located in Athens and a few blocks from Monastiraki Square. It was in a great location where restaurants, shops, and public transportation are close by. We walked everywhere to major sites since the traffic is horrible. We ate dinner in restaurants close by. We arrived in the morning and our room got cleaned early & they let us check in. Our room was standard yet had a balcony where we can see the Acropolis. It was on a busy street and with the patio door closed, we were not bothered by the street noise. The hotel is a little outdated yet everything was clean, comfortable, and classy. The towels had embroidered hotel name. Each floor had a lounge. The staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast was very filling and they offered a variety of food and drinks. The staff makes sure that the buffet items are filled and the area clean. We loved the rooftop bar for sunset drinks, and the drinks are reasonably priced. The female bartender is very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again.
