Absolute Basisausstattung. Die komplette Anlage ist in einem ziemlich veralteten Zustand. Die Rezeption befindet sich im nächstgelegenen Porto Plakias. Die Besitzer sind auch gleichzeitig die Besitzer des Hotels Myrtis. Innerhalb des Hotels Myrtis gibt es keine Rezeption mehr. Prinzipel hat es den Anschein, dass das Hotel Myrtis nur noch ein Anhängsel des Porto Plakias ist. Die Einrichtungsgegenstände innerhalb der Zimmer sind wohl aus dem letzten Jahrhundert. Die Zimmer sind dunkel und nur wenig Licht findet einen Weg durch die Glasschiebetüre am Balkon. Auch die Beleuchtung von den Lampen innerhalb der Zimmer spenden nur wenig Licht. Der Balkon ist zweckmäßig und nicht sonderlich groß. Durch die Lampen vor der Anlage werden die Besucher in den Zimmern des Erdgeschosses teilweise geblendet. Die Zimmertüre hat ein Schloss, welches viel zu sperrig und laut ist. Auch der Zimmerschlüssel ist mehr als veraltet. Der Fernseher ist nicht der Rede wert. Es wundert bei diesem uralten Model nicht, dass es lediglich zwei Programme zur Auswahl gibt. Generell kann man sagen, dass das Gebäude ziemlich hellhörig ist. Das Personal ist freundlich mehr aber auch nicht. Die Zimmer sind soweit sauber jedoch haben wir bei unserem Aufenthalt mehrere Handtücher mit auffälligen gelben Flecken bekommen. Darüber hinaus gab es in unserem Zimmer an der Decke des Bads Staubfussel. Das Frühstück ist Standard und variierte nicht. Sämtliche Gäste des Porto Plakias kommen auch hierher zum Frühstück sodass es schön einmal etwas voller werden kann. Positiv ist die Möglichkeit, im Hotel Porto Plakias auf den Pool auf dem Dach zu können. Auch das Myrtis besitzt einen Pool, welcher allerdings so gut wie nie besucht wird. Trotzdem müssen wir leider festhalten, dass uns das Myrtis in keinster Weise überzeugen konnte. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel nicht weiter.

Touristenindustrie. Aber erstmal das Gute: die Zimmer sind hochwertig und wirklich toll. Beim Bad mit einer alten Wirlpoolbadewanne ausgestattet, muss man aufpassen. Denn wenn man duscht, läuft das Wasser hinter der Wanne ins ganze Bad und der Boden wird nass. Bei Frühstück wird auf die Einhaltung der Covid Regeln geachtet. Grundsätzlich ist alles da, für jeden Geschmack. Außerdem versuchen die Angestellten, auch extra Wünsche möglich zu machen. Jetzt das weniger Gute: der Kaffee ist eine Katastrophe, wenn man einen griechischen Kaffee will zahlt man 2 Euro extra. Frühstück ist von 8:00 bis 10:00. Um 10:00 wird die Türe zum Innenraum mit dem Buffett zugezogen, die Gäste im Innenraum werden gebeten, zu gehen. Man sitzt draußen vor der Türe des Hotels neben dem Pool, keine Chance sich noch ein heißes Wasser oder Salz zu holen. Drinnen beginnen nun die Angestellten Frühstück zu machen, getrennt von den Gästen, als möchte man sich abschotten, als identifiziere man sich nicht mit ihm. Und dann die Kleinigkeiten: Hotel Myrtis gebucht und ohne zu fragen auf Hotel Plakias vom Hotel umgebucht / WLAN Schlüssel muss extra erfragt werden / nicht funktionierende Klimaanlage aufgrund eines schlechten Kontakts mit der Balkontüre wird genervt von Hotelleitung nachts nach Ankunft in Gang gesetzt / Frühstück von 8:00 bis 10:00 an einem Urlaubsort. In der Summe spürt man den Industriecharakter des Hotels, und wenn die Angestellten sagen, sie arbeiten wie Maschinen, dann spürt man, dass hier nicht nur die Gäste leiden. Das Hotel ist aus der Perspektive einer Geschäftleitung gedacht, die wahrscheinlich nicht Inhaber ist, die Effizienz will. Das ist an anderen Urlaubsorten auch völlig normal, allerdings auf Kreta kannte ich das bisher nicht so und anderen Hotels schaffen es, wesentlich persönlicher zu sein.

Hallo everyone, in my opinion absolutelly Top possibillity to enjoy south Crete culture, people and their habbits. I lovely recomend Porto Plakias and their restaurant Kri Kri cause of the owners and their personal they do the best for you, the food is excelent, rooms clean and with all nessessarities you want to have on your trip. Im personally in love with this place and want to thanks this way to family Spatidakis for all they did for my family....Your Peter and family!!! Efcharistume poly poly poly and see U next time...;)

I was at this hotel at the end of the season, in the second half of October, so it might be that my experience is not completely the same as someone going, say, in August. Anyway, I was completely satisfied with the hotel. The price/quality ratio was very good for me, and I have no complaints at all with the hotel. It is located less than 5 minutes' walk from the beach and I had a nice balcony from which I could see the sea. The room was spacious and it had a real double bed, not two separate beds put together as often happens. It is in a quiet place even though just five minutes from the main street and center of the village. There are several shops, supermarkets and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Also, you can go walking along the coast, there is a very nice paved walk from which you see some stunning views, particularly at sunset. |The staff was friendly and nice and I very much appreciated that they let me do a late check-out for free, wow! |I liked everything, the only suggestion for improvement I have was the choice of jams for the breakfast, it could be better, also it would be nice to have a boiler in the room for making oneself tea. We stayed here late August, early September. The hotel is only small but we found it to be very clean and comfortable. Food and drinks are served at its sister hotel literally at the top of the drive. There wasn't a lot of choice with food (the reason for dropping a star) but as long as you aren't fussy it was ok. I'd suggest dining early in an evening as the restaurant opened at 7 so food was always piping hot then, later on not always so as it was buffet style. The bar was great and the staff were absolutely superb, we have made great friendships that will last forever. The surrounding area was absolutely stunning, we visited some fantastic beaches and beautiful places, a day out to water city water park although a long way was great for children. It's quite a way from any airport so really a car is a must, it also allows you to explore the area, ask the reception staff and they'll be delighted to help. This holiday was remarkably fantastic value for money and I'd go back...

Hotel is in good location for the beach and all the Tavernas and shops. We loved Plakias - like old time Greece with all the Tavernas and lovely beach. Was very very windy for 2 days. Affected my eyes and difficult to go on beach as you got sandblasted!||Our room was big and bathroom was good even if the shower made the floor very wet and didn't really need the Jacuzzi bath (unusual for Greece!) Pool area and bar is only O.K. Very quiet and no atmosphere. Be aware this is 2 hotels and can use pool at both. The pool area on roof of Hotel Porto Plakias is very disappointing and seemed to be all shut up and very shabby. Pool at next door hotel is a fair size but very cold! Breakfast wasn't bad - the orange juice from the machine was terrible. Coffee a bit better. Hot food OK and eggs every day. I wouldn't like to stay here full board as I don't think the food would be very good. So many good places to eat on the doorstep. Get...
