Porto Marina Aparthotel — Hotel in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Stayed for 2 weeks. It does state that it's a 3 star, it definitely isn't. The apartments are situated in a central position with an easy walk to the beach, marina, shops and bars. Not the prettiest of areas, our balcony overlooked a car parking area but leaning over the balcony you do have a glimpse of the sea. There is a bar next to the apartments which serves food and the drinks are cheaper than the bars in Gouvia centre. The apartment was spacious, there was 3 single beds in ours and it looked like the bedroom had recently been painted so it was fresh and clean. Unfortunately though we only had the bedding changed once in the 2 weeks and 1 lot of clean towels, no cleaning was done either in the 2 weeks. There was a hairdryer but lacks plug sockets in the room. The bathroom was very dirty looking and old, although there was always plenty of hot water. Shower head was broken and wouldn't stay up. We always book self catering apartments, this one had 2 cooking rings, one of the knobs was missing, a dirty fridge, freezer compartment didn't freeze, and there was only one pan, no sharp knife and we had to ask for more cutlery. First night I arrived near to 2 am, a key was on the desk with my name and room number on it, I was very happy about this, as my flight had been delayed and I was very tired. So I went straight to bed, they had left a bottle of water for me , I was very grateful for this . The bed was really comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. First day Marios, the owner took me in to the village to show me where things are and dropped me at a hotel close by that had a buffet breakfast. I had a tuna salad for dinner at the cafe downstairs last night and it was delicious and a good portion the service was good , beautiful and friendly young ladies working there, excellent coffee, I am enjoying my stay here very much, easy going , no drama. It is a home from home. I have read on here that there's never anyone on the desk, you can just go into the cafe and find mario or ask the staff and they will help. Marios is a gent, and a proper business man. The cleaner came in today to clean she was also great fun and hardworking, and offered more towels and sheets the place is lovely and clean. Overall it's a cool place to stay and a short walk to Gouvia...

Great Budget Option – Simple but Satisfying

We stayed here while traveling on a budget, and for the price, it was absolutely the right choice. The room was simple but had everything we needed – the bed was fine, everything was clean, and the room service brought us fresh towels and supplies whenever we needed them.

If you’re looking for a low-cost place to sleep and shower, this is perfect. But if you expect more comfort, luxury, or high-end hotel service, this might not be for you – especially if you’re a bit older or used to more upscale hotels.
