Mythos Restaurant Gouvia — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Visually very nice place to sit down and relax (A lof of greenery, some artificial some not). Service was confusing. They were really trying hard, but orders were mixed, one dish was forgotten. Tomatoe soup was not edible. It's like barbeque sauce watered down and weekly amount of sodium (salt) added. The guy dressed in black (the owner?) noticed that one of us is not eating this particular dish and asked what is the issue. We mentioned that it is just way too salty and far from what any tomatoe soup should look like. He took away the dish, apologized and it was not included in the final bill. Greek salad was good (It would take special effort for someone to ruin this dish) but on a smaller side. The amount of feta cheese was half of what I was getting elsewhere in Gouvia with the same dish. Price level is definatelly above the average of all the places we ate in Gouvia. (and we visited most of dining establishments in Gouvia). Balaclava...

Stay away! Our glasses were dirty, salad was old and red, food tasted bad and was definitely not fresh, the waiter which btw was very kind offered us free drinks because of the bad experience. The waiter asked us how it was and I said that it was not the best and I didn’t tasted fresh. Then we paid and was about to leave, and then the owner came out and was fuming because we criticized him. The he told me to go in the kitchen and see for myself, which I refused of course. Then we went to our mopeds and the owner came after us, wrote down the number plates, then I asked what he was doing and he said “I know who you are, I will find you”. Shocking and a bit funny situation. Just do yourself the favor and stay away...

We had a great meal — everything was tasty, and the service was excellent. The staff really cared, brought us everything we asked to take away, and made sure we were comfortable throughout. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the tomato soup. Other than that, everything was great.

Honestly, I think this place is underrated. Its current rating of 3.8 is way too low — it definitely deserves a higher score, especially compared to other spots on this street.
