The hotel has two buildings: the old one with economy apartments and the new one with renovated apartments. We looked for good apartments with a decent shower and it was the best option in Agia Apostoli in terms of price/quality ratio.||||What we liked:||+ Spacious new apartment with the best shower of all 14 hotels in Greece where we stayed!||+ There was air-conditioner (free of charge), TV, powerful hair-dryer, a large wardrobe, many sockets, new furniture (almost all), good doors and windows with mosquito nets, 2 balconies (one for drying swimsuits and the second with a table for an evening aperitif)||+ In the kitchen: electric stove, drip coffee maker, sandwich toaster, full bottle of detergent, various utensils for eating and cooking (enough for our breakfast)||+ Good location on a quiet street, but at the same time within walking distance of all tourist services: 15 minutes to 4 good beaches and the same to a large supermarket, 10 minutes to a bus stop to go to Chania (buses every 20 minutes), next to the hotel 2 small shops and tasty gyros||+ Private parking in the courtyard – small but there was always free space for us||+ The hosts also live there, so the reception is almost 24/7 + they always respond quickly via WhatsApp||+ At the check-in we received a small gift – cookies from the host's mother, and after the check-out she kindly allowed us to leave some food in her fridge||+ We could also leave our suitcases at the reception after check-out and we had a lunch at the table in the hotel’s courtyard before leaving||+ Check-out time is 12:00 – very convenient!||||What we didn’t like:||- Very strange cleening. Initially the apartment wasn’t very clean: dusty in the corners and hairs in the shower. During our stay (8 days) there was no full cleaning. Towels and only half of the bed linen were changed once. But the garbage was taken out every day, which wasn’t very convenient: we don’t like when someone constantly enters our apartment without special need.||- Only 2 towels per guest, we would like more considering how often they were changed and the type of apartment (Executive)||- There wasn’t hot water in the mornings, only lukewarm (it can be a problem for lovers of the morning shower)||- It was very inconvenient that in a new apartment you can’t throw toilet paper into the toilet, although in many old Greek hotels this rule is already canceled||- Many small problems: Wi-Fi didn’t work in the bedroom, no towel and kettle in the kitchen, lamp above the bed was pasted up with sticky tape, bathroom was dark (the only light above mirror) and there wasn’t socket (only in the corridor next to the bathroom so you need to go out for use a hair-dryer/electric shaver) ||- The day after check-in the host insistently tried to move us to apartment with a better view (which we didn't need), we had to argue because we have just unpacked our suitcases and didn't want to waste vacation time packing and repacking them in another apartment||- Mistake in hotel’s description: animals are allowed there! It’s very important because we are allergic and we always ask for an apartment where there were no animals before. But this problem couldn’t be here, so we didn’t notify the host. However a woman with a dog checked-in our room right after us. If it were the other way around and we stayed there after her the vacation could have been a nightmare and ended in the hospital||- A couple of times the guests on the neighboring balconies were noisy in the night and hosts didn’t react, we couldn’t fall asleep with the windows open, but the air conditioner solved this problem||- The hotel charge the full amount one week before arrival, although the penalty for late...
Read moreWe booked a last minute holiday to Crete and settled on the Angela apartments on the basis of its great reviews... and found them all 100% accurate. It was a perfect place to stay. Great location 10 mins walk from the prettiest beach (completely unspoilt, no development etc, perfect water..), up a quiet side street. We had 2 different rooms during the week as we were so last minute, but it would be hard to choose between them. The first had an amazing huge private roof terrace with 360' views... the rooms were clean, comfortable, small/medium size but all we needed and we were v happy there. The second had two balconies and a super smart apartment with fantastic bathroom, kitchen etc, fabulous bedroom. Maria and Costas were really friendly and welcoming, made us delicious cakes and biscuits and were kind to the children. I couldn't imagine a better place to stay to explore Crete. It was a 15-20 min bus ride to Chania old town, from the main street. We ate in a few local restaurants and would recommend the Farmer's Tavern especially. Overall a really great stay and we would highly...
Read moreMixed experience with some major disappointments We spent a 6-night vacation here. The price was affordable, and the overall experience reflected that. Towels and bed linen were quite worn out and only replaced on the fourth day — after leaving them on the floor for two days. The bed sheets were in poor condition as well.
Three days into our stay, my parents joined us and were very disappointed. Despite booking and paying for an executive room, they were given an outdated one with old, neglected furniture. The staff claimed there were no executive rooms available, even though the reservation clearly stated otherwise. They promised a room change the next day, but later dismissed it, saying my parents would mostly be at the beach and only had two days left.
To make things worse, the hotel responded to their review by blaming a hot water issue — which was completely false. Be cautious and double-check what you’re actually getting...
