Mediterranea Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

Excellent accommodation. Well located with 4 nice beaches to walk to in around 10 minutes. Lidl and another Greek supermarket 5 minutes walk away which is great for self catering. Bus stop to Chania old town at the bottom at the hill. Goes every 15/20 mins. Cheap tickets sold in the hotel.

The hotel was friendly and pool great. Just beware the pool quickly goes to 3 metre's deep, but there is a baby pool. Reception and bar staff are very helpful.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. Very spacious. Nice little touches such as coffee for the coffee machine, a water bottle in the fridge, fresheners in the wardrobes.

This is definitely somewhere we will visit again!

Things that could improve -

Adding Aircon to the lounge/kitchen as this was one of the sleeping areas. The only way to keep this area cool was to have the bedroom doors open. But, obviously this isn't always appropriate.

Maids were daily and efficient, but would have liked the bedding and towels changed more often. Once a week seemed a long time

A courtesy room is needed. There are showers and toilets near the laundry room, but the showers don't have any privacy and no where to get changed keeping clothes dry. No hair dryer...

We really enjoyed our stay at Mediterranea Apartments. Big clean rooms with balcony, nice pool, pool bar, very friendly staff and excellent location, close to many restaurants, shops and supermarkets. To Chania old harbour is just 10min drive. I´d rather stay here again than in Chania. Nikos from the reception speaks great english and helped us a lof with many hints which made our stay in Chania better. Only thing that could be a bit better is the WIFI,but this seems to be a problem in all hotels in Greece... Anyway, we didn´t go to Greece for the wifi, so we´ll be back for sure. Grecję odwiedziłem już 15 razy. Kretę 4 więc materiał do porównań mam spory. Wszędzie gdzie byłem trzeba było czekać na pokój. Ale ten czas właściciele czy też dyrekcja hotelu starają się w jakiś sposób umilić. I nie trwało to zwykle dłużej niż 2-3 godziny. Oto jak zostałem potraktowany w hotelu Mediterranea. Autokar wyrzucił nas przed ZAMKNIĘTYM hotelem o 6 rano. Około 8:00 zadzwoniłem do rezydentki by wyjaśnić sytuację. Po tej interwencji parę minut później objawiła się sfochowana rudowłosa piękność, łaskawie nas zameldowała i powiedziała że na pokój trzeba poczekać do 11 wskazując jednocześnie brudny schowek gdzie mogłem zostawić walizkę. O 11:00 z radością na twarzy oznajmiła mi że na pokój muszę poczekać do 14. Po 8 godzinach oczekiwania i nieprzespanej nocy w końcu dostałem klucze do pokoju. Pokój jak na greckie standardy czysty i w miarę duży. Łóżko wygodne. Na wyposażeniu telewizor wielkości znaczka pocztowego i lodówka w której wyprodukowanie lodu trwa półtorej doby. Klima działa ale musisz ją opłacić na tydzień chociaż tak naprawdę korzystasz z niej 6 dni. Tak samo z sejfem. Pokoje na parterze nie zapewniają minimum prywatności. Albo masz zasłonięte kotary i siedzisz w ciemnej norze albo odsłaniasz okna i każdy kto przechodzi ścieżką biegnącą metr od twoich okien zagląda ci do talerza. Do morza spory kawałek co przy 40 stopniowym upale jest uciążliwe. Jedyną zaletą tego miejsca jest duża ilość tawern i knajp znajdująca się w okolicy z bardzo dobrym greckim żarciem.
