This was the best stay we ever had! We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the ground floor. The apartment is amazing. It's just like the photos. Tastefully decorated, well equiped with everything needed, located in a very quiet area. The apartment building is also very peaceful. There were no loud noises, absolutely nothing that disturbed us. It is spacious with two bedrooms and a livingroom and kitchenette. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. We had no trouble sleeping very well. The livingroom is comfortable, with a large coutch and big screen tv. The bathroom has a big shower, lots of ameneties and also a washing machine, which we used a few times. There are two balconies, one small and one very big. The latter we used every evening playing games (we found in the apartment) and watching movies on our tablet. The kitchen is well equiped. We cooked every day and I can't say there was anything missing from the kitchen. We felt the comfort of home, but in a beautiful location, near the sea. There are 4 beaches nearby, in walking distance, the closest being 7 minutes away. We loved Sunset beach with it's shallow and warm water and beautiful scenery. There are a lot of volleyball courts and some areas where you can play beach tennis. I didn't play these sports when we arrived, but somehow ended up playing them daily. There are also two big supermarkets 5 minutes away and a lot of restaurants or sandwich places nearby. Also, we found that the bus sistem is very easy to use, especialy now with the internet's help. Giorgos, the host is wonderful, he speakes english well, very friendly, he offers a lot of good advice. He keeps everything very clean, and I mean spotless (no sand, no dust, no mold, no ants or other insects, nothing wrong, anywere in the house). I found absolutely nothing dirty in the apartment or in the courtyard. This was our kind of host. We were welcomed with a tasty (big) cake, with water and wine in the fridge. Well done Giorgos! We thank you for our best...
Read moreWonderful stay! I highly recommend this lovely place to anyone looking for a relaxing beach holiday in Crete. The location is great: close to Chania city (just a 3-minute walk to the bus stop, and the bus takes you directly into the city centre), and several beautiful beaches are only a short walk away.
The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and exceeded our expectations. It had everything we needed and more: a super comfortable bed, two balconies with tables and chairs, and a fully equipped kitchen (though we often went out, since the restaurants in Daratsos are amazing!). I especially recommend trying Restaurant Sterna and Taverna Dimitris & Sakis.
What made our stay truly special was the kindness of the owner. He surprised us with a freshly baked warm cake. It was delicious! He was always available to help, whether we had questions or needed support, and even arranged a rental car for our trip to Elafonisi. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
A wonderful apartment with an incredibly warm and helpful host! We would...
Read moreIt was a wonderful holiday with Penny and George. The apartment is perfect with two balconies, one corner and a large one with a table. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay including air conditioning, mosquito nets and external sun blinds. Daily cleaning and frequent replacement of bed linen and towels. Additionally they can wash your things for free. Also renewed sets of shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, etc. We were also surprised by fresh flowers in vases, and homemade cupcakes, strawberries, eggs, chocolate, oranges, etc. Very nice patio with chairs, hammocks and books. It's like a hotel with all the pluses of an apartment. Nearby you can rent s car, which can be parked in the yard under the trees. Two supermarkets in 5 minutes walk; bus stop that can bring you to Chania. To the sea about 10 minutes walk with the child, near a park with a playground and simulators. Next time, when we arrive in Chania, we will defo stop here. Thank Penny and George for this holiday, and George's mother for...
