Kristalli Hotel Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Chersonissos

So hard to put into words just how amazing this holiday and accommodation was. Our first holiday to Crete and certainly won’t be our last. Will definitely be staying at Kristalli again, wouldn’t stay anywhere else! |Firstly the staff are amazing! Welcoming, kind, friendly. You couldn’t ask for more. Nothing is a bother to them. I love the family run ethos, and the smaller setting. We were made to feel welcome and right at home. They take such a genuine and kind interest in the kids and interact with warmth. I 100% understand why so many of the families present during our stay had already stayed previous years at Kristalli.|The air con is an added extra- but 100% worth it. The Aircon was lovely and cool and kicked in straight away as soon as we entered our rooms and had our windows and doors shut. Far better to pay the little extra and have good air conditioning rather than having it included in the price as many other accommodations day and it doesn’t work or isn’t very cool. |The rooms were clean, spacious and maids cleaned every day and clean towels. |A big perk is not having to race to reserve sun loungers, no matter what time of the day you come down there is always sun loungers available and plenty of space in the pool. It never felt over crowded. Just perfect. They even provide little pillows to borrow for under your towel at the pool. |The pool bar is great, amazing cocktails and delicious food. So reasonably priced also. Staff even bring drinks and food right to your lounger! Amazing service! |We got goodbyes, Hugs and handshakes before we left, making us feel again really welcome. |The location was perfect for us! Up the hill slightly from the old town- 5 minute walk into the old town for restaurants and 10 min walk to the strip, about 15 minutes to the closest beach. It was lovely and quiet. We had a perfect nights sleep each night of our 14 night stay. The old town is just stunning!!! Absolutely beautiful little streets and restaurants. We loved avli, zorbas, San Giorgio and nostimo. No need to go near the strip if you don’t want to. |The strip wasn’t vulgar or messy when we did visit for the shops or to the beach but this was during the day and before 11pm at night so not sure if it’s different when it’s later. |If you’re reading this, honestly, book Kristalli you will not regret it. We have children ranging from 16 to 2 years old and ticked all the boxes but we also seen older couples and young couples with no kids also. We had a wonderful 7 day experience at the Kristalli, and had a lovely apartment number 206 with it’s own spiral staircase entrance which was a good size and very comfortable with a good view across to the pool. We had drinks but no food so can’t comment on that. Good location about 30 mins walk into town…enough to walk off food and drink from the evening! My advice is although Malia is lovely enough we hired a car for 5 days and went to many places including up and down mountains, Agia Nicholas was a great place to visit and we found a wonderful beach in Voulisma beach about 40 minutes away. All in all a wonderful holiday slightly marred but the very late pick up we had, asked if we could extend our room…no washing bathing facilities after checkout otherwise apart from the pool shower. Couldn’t confirm until the day before departure and the older rather grumpy lady in the complex said it would be £50 euro for 8 hours..said we had to be gone by 7 so decided to pay for an a apartment 5 mins away..happy days, not the best but had 2 showers each for £27 euros. Apart from this the holiday was wonderful and if we were ever back in Malia would definitely recommend…..if our flight was earlier my rating would...

First time for us in Crete and couldn't of picked a better place to stay. Run by a family that are warm and welcoming and can't do enough for you. Rooms where kept to a high standard and have recently been updated and modernised. Just a 10 minute walk from several tavernas and restaurants all have a great choice of food and reasonable prices so not going to break the bank. If its beach you want its around a 20 minute walk but well worth when you get there as sea is beautiful and clear and beaches spotless. There is a Convenience store literally 2 minutes from the hotel to get any supplies you need and the Mirage bar literally 5 minutes if your looking for a full English breakfast or just a nice beer and meal all with WiFi free and Sky Sports on the go. If your up for partying hard then it's a 20 minute walk to the main strip where all the Bars and Clubs are this is why we chose Kristalli as its out of the way from the noise and hassle if you just want a relaxing holiday. Hundreds of shops to get those bargains and offers from all over Malia. It's just a great place with everything to offer all ages.
