Wow amazing hotel! I enjoyed every second I was there! From the wonderful food at breakfast, by the pool and in the restaurant at dinner. Continues to the fun pool which is open from eight in the morning to eight in the evening, very convenient hours. Continues by saying that the hotel is sparkling clean and beautifully and elegantly designed. The location is very good, quite close to the airport, walking distance from the city center and the archaeological museum. Driving distance is not far from Knossos. I marked four stars on the rooms because they are really a bit small, but that is really the only drawback because the rooms are beautiful, clean and well equipped. If it was possible, I would give four and a half stars to the rooms, because I really enjoyed the room. There is a facility for hanging clothes to dry on the balcony, there is a chair, an armchair and a pedestal in the room, which is very convenient. There is an innovative coffee machine with delicious capsules, there is a refrigerator, there are bathrobes and slippers, there is a hair comb, there is a magnifying mirror for make-up. It is evident that there is attention to detail to make the guests as comfortable as possible. What takes the hotel to the highest level is the wonderful service of the staff. Flawless English, patience, head growth, agility and all with a smile and kindness. I felt that in everything I could turn to eavesdropping and I would receive the best service. My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights and really enjoyed our visit! Especially the service staff at breakfast and also the reception were super friendly and very attentive. Speaking of breakfast, the buffet was superb with a wide variety of local and international foods. Special wishes such as a freshly made omelette with custom ingredients or a plate of fruits after breakfast was officially over were fulfilled without hesitation. Regarding our accommodation, even though we booked a superior double room the habitation itself was quite small. The bed was comfortable, but not a double bed which meant that the two mattresses were drifting apart every single night; being a couple, that was quite annoying... Further, we had to have our room key card reprogrammed/ replaced at least every second day even though we made sure not to put it close to smartphones or credit cards, as instructed by the reception. Otherwise, our room was clean, well insulated against ambient sounds (particularly departing airplanes and those annoying cicadas) and in good shape. As for the pool area, even though it isn't very large it was nice to spend time there to relax; the pool itself was clean and well maintained. Hotel parking is very limited (max. 7 slots); however, it was never a problem to find a regular parking spot close to the hotel. The city center is about 10-15min away by foot. Prenotando un 5 stelle ci si aspetta ovviamente di più! innanzitutto le camere molto molto piccole e con questo intendo il non avere posto per aprire la valigia e il fatto che, essendo in due, se uno doveva muoversi l’altro doveva mettersi sul letto per passare. Inoltre, nonostante la prenotazione di un letto queen size, all’arrivo troviamo due letti singoli.. parliamo con la reception che ci dice che risolveranno la questione ma il giorno seguente perchè era sera e non c’era nessuno per cambiarlo. Quindi il “24h room service” presente nella descrizione dell’hotel è alquanto inesistente. Il problema è stato “risolto” il giorno seguente, e con risolto non intendo che ci hanno cambiato letto, ma semplicemente unito i materassi singoli. Comunque non è stato questo il maggior problema. Uno dei fastidi più grandi ha riguardato le chiavi della stanza. Puntualmente ogni sera quando volevamo rientrare in camera, la chiave si demagnetizzava e ci negava l’accesso..quindi ogni volta bisognava lasciare zaini,borse ecc allo sbaraglio nel corridoio, andare in reception, cambiare chiave e sperare che fosse funzionante. Provando a chiedere il motivo di questo problema, ti rispondo che devi tenere la chiave lontano dal telefono in quanto molto sensibile.. provato, ma non è vero. Così come le chiavi, anche l’aria condizionata spesso non funzionava e bisogna farla sistemare dalla reception. Ho notato che anche altri clienti hanno avuto gli stessi problemi. Inoltre, nel sito dell’hotel sono elencati una serie di servizi notevoli, se solo fossero reali. Foto di questa piscina enorme, illuminata, molto bella di notte, peccato che la sera e la mattina presto sia chiusa; vanta poi una spa (inesistente) con vasca idromassaggio (chiedo in reception, dicono che loro non loro non hanno una vasca idromassaggio ma un hammam, ovvero un bagno turco. Carino, se si riesce ad andare: due giorni era rotto, gli altri bisogna prenotare). Il campo da golf inesistente e la tv non è proprio on demand come c’è scritto.. ma dettagli questi. “Servizio navetta per l’aeroporto 24h”.. il giorno prima di partire abbiamo chiesto e nemmeno loro ne erano a conoscenza, però si sono offerti di chiamarci loro il taxi (quando si può facilmente trovare da soli) pagando una tariffa più alta ovviamente. Abbiamo avuto problemi anche con il parcheggio (e di conseguenza con il nostro noleggio) perchè consiste in 7 posti auto a fronte di 600 e passa camere.. mi chiedo se sia normale. In camera all’arrivo si trova una macchina del caffè e alcune cialde per caffè/thè e basta. Appena usi una cialda, puntualmente il giorno dopo te la fanno trovare un’altra assieme a un biglietto che ti informa che costa 2€ e che prima assolutamente non c’era!! Purtroppo anche il personale ci ha deluso: a colazione ti accerchiano, non sei libero di decidere dove metterti o cosa prendere che sei sempre osservato, appena non capiscono cosa stai cercando di dire ridono/prendono in giro.. quando loro sono i primi a non parlare l’italiano.. inoltre direi insistenti e irrispettosi del riposo altrui.. una sera mentre stavamo riposando si sente bussare ripetutamente e continuamente fino a quando non ci alziamo per scoprire che era la ragazza del minibar che voleva sapere se volevamo qualcosa.. se volevamo qualcosa lo avremmo chiesto una volta svegli.. un’altra volta, verso le due di notte mentre dormivo mi chiamano per sapere se stavo fumando, anche insistente nonostante credo si sentisse mi fossi appena svegliato ( a causa loro). Un altro appunto è per le camere affatto insonorizzate come dicono, anzi! Poi, il bagno non è dotato nè di finestra, nè di bidet e lo scarico del water aveva dei problemi (andava spento). Inoltre, sempre nel bagno era ben visibile lo scarico dell’acqua usata dove riveniva su insieme a tutta la schiuma ecc.
