I have to say that I did not expect this to happen. I have been living nearby for all my life, I do not simply know the neighbourhood... have never happened to go to this particular place but there has always been a place selling pizza at about the same point... since the 90s... so, I was invited to see a this football match yesterday, Sunday, (Ireland vs Greece) with friends... it has been more than 10 years since I last saw a match with friends and pizza/beers, etc and since delivery is usually very slow when there is a national team match, I was sent to go and just get a pizza. So, I arrived and picked the biggest special pizza. The first bad impression was that they told me that the price was not the same as the official catalog price that they handed to me, but 1.8 euros more expensive (the catalog price was 17 euros and they told be that they would charge 18.8). This is illegal, obviously, it is a well known cheap trick that unfortunately is still played in Greece. Anyway, I agreed and asked how long it would take for them to make the pizza. I was formal and polite but for some reason that I do not understand the staff started making jokes about the time it takes for a pizza to get ready. They were commenting on the details of preparation and the respective times, mocking that it is very important that a pizza is made very quickly. The jokes were repeating and they were directed to me. There was no answer or response from me, I just sat on the side and waited while browsing online on my phone. But this behaviour was rude and unprofessional. Maybe they think that they are entitled to.... what exactly? As for the pizza, it was decent, but not nearly big enough for 18.8euros.... So, no, I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone... of course I am never going to visit them again... there are excellent, very well known restaurants 3 minutes down the same side...
Read moreThis was one of the best pizzas I ever had. Made in a wood stove, thin crust, perfect ratio of cheese and toppings (I had the Pizza „Greek“, large). The large option is really large and the cheese was so good. My wife had Pasta with with a vegetable sauce. The portion was also on the bigger side and the pasta was perfectly al dente.
The service was extremely friendly and spoke perfect English.
It’s not a candlelight-dinner type of restaurant, more a mixture of modern open kitchen meets diner. Everything was clean and well organized.
A must if...
Read moreBy far the greatest pizza you can eat in the city. The stuff was courteous, well mannered and their services overall of top quality. The prices are great with the choice of a 35 or 45 cm pizza which is enough for at least 2 people. We tried the 45cm one split in two, prosciutto mozzarella and inferno, both were really tasty.
A minor observation, when ordering the 45cm pizza refrain from splitting it in two by ordering half of one kind and half from another, like in the photo, as for some reason it follows special pricing instead of what it says...
